That picture is fake. It was photoshopped and put a pic of each of them together on one photo. They never took a picture together and some people who were close to Freddie say he and Princess Diana never even met.

Ann B No. Freddie and Diana NEVER met. The only royal Freddie knew well was Princess Margaret. He met Prince Andrew once. Everyone else in the royal family, Freddie didn’t know personally or met. The story of him taking her to a gay club is rubbish. When Freddie met Prince Andrew he did jokingly invite him to Heaven, a gay nightclub Freddie frequently went to.

@Ann B A beautifully written story, wonderful to read. And entirely untrue from start to finish. For one thing, by the mid-80s Mercury & Everett had long since fallen out with each other, so there's absolutely no way they would have been socialising together. Diana was a great champion of AIDS charities, but she wasn't friends with Freddie Mercury - that's just a lovely fantasy.

These are so neat to see! It’s lovely to hear anyone recall Freddie. I’ve rarely heard bad things and those are usually opinions not facts anyways! You’re having a rebirth darling, with the movie everyone wants to know you again! Teens are mesmerized today just as they were in 77’s-80’s!! No one has come even close to Freddie in that time. Can you name anyone? I can’t.

mangasky7 oh well of course Bowie! But his big years were the same as Queen’s, even though he continued to make music until his death 😞 so it isn’t really new or intermediate.. I can think of really good voices but nothing up to par, certainly not better! Those that come to mind in rock music are, Maynard James Kenan of Tool (again not even “at Freddie’s level” but still damn good). Lead singer of MUSE also coming to mind. I would actually venture to say he is “at” Freddie’s vocal ability level in rock music today. Now. That being said. There was so much more to Freddie than just a fantastic voice but the WAY he used that gift was simply angelic (no matter what type of angel you are getting) using an incredible voice in the way Freddie did, even if they can hit the notes, I have yet to see again. Adam Lambert is of course a magnificent singer but no stage presence at all, that I’ve seen, unless you’re counting rocking out with Brian May.. so yeah Freddie, you still the man babe💋😘🤘🏻
