Girls, you definitely need to watch "A Nightmare on Elm Street". Freddie has always been favorably distinguished from his other colleagues in the "profession" by his trademark sense of humor. Which actually drags, to a large extent, this crossover 😄 In addition, Freddie is definitely smart (in comparison with others - he's an intellectual in general!), and even sociable - sometimes he doesn't mind chatting. Most of the classic killers from this genre are extremely boring types. And Freddie is also very inventive... murders with, ahem, the "help" of an unborn child - this hits the brain hard😄

Why in the world would you watch this movie before you’ve even seen the original Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th? They’re not only the first films but they’re better films. It’s like watching Rocky V without watching Rocky. 🤯

Freddy Vs Jason this is one of my favorite horror movies not because its good, because 2 of the biggest iconic horror slashers have a epic showdown! nightmare of elm street is the best horror series for the movies, but jason is amazing for being a awesome slasher, he has a few good movies while most of elm streets movies are fantastic, friday part 2-4 were and part 6, not that many good movies but this movie added another good one to the series

Freddy posed as Jason's mother to revive him. He was the mastermind behind trying to get himself out of hell and back into the dream world. He used Jason to make people think it was him. It was the memories of Freddy that caused fear and that fear is what brought him back.

I hope you guys watch the rest of both franchises. There’s good and bad with both. Ellie’s facial reactions are priceless BTW!

The only thing I still hate about this movie is that Kane Hodder got screwed out of playing Jason for this film. Not to mention his Jason would've been more ruthless than this one and would not be afraid of water either.

I was born in 1998. This movie is THE movie of my childhood. Not only did I beg my grandmother to buy me a VHS copy of this and watched it back to back all night, but it got me into heavy metal at age 6.

Funny thing about this movie is that they actually toned down Jason's strength and speed compared to previous entries, while at the same time made it more cartoonish.

Funfact about Krueger,he's not just a serial killer, in life he's actually a sexual predator from childrens, in the 80's when the movie still in production they change the story because in the same year the police arrest a real children predator so for not hurt the people sensitive they errase that part

There's something entertaining about people reacting to the end of a franchise before watching the beginning. Yeah it gets annoying at some points but it's fun seeing people try and guess what's going on.

Not a good movie to watch if you have never seen friday the 13th or nightmare on elm street you will be so confused by all the references to the past movies and why the characters are the way they are

FvJ was kinda sneered at by critics at the time but it really nailed the brief: it was RIDICULOUSLY entertaining. High cinema? Not even close. High brow? Not at all. But that wasn't the point. It was scary, it was funny, it was schlocky, it was campy: it was everything we wanted. I low key love this movie.

Oh a classic in the crossover films. Not the best or scariest in both their franchise, but the nostalgia of this film is delicious. Grew up with it, all us Gen Z did. It was an amazing meme event for these two titans going against each other. Even had a whole comedic live boxing match-like sit down to promote the film.

This movie was actually my introductory point for the franchises as well. I saw it when I was 13 and I started watching Friday the 13th and Nightmare not long after. This wasn't like seeing Endgame without watching any of the previous films in the MCU. The filmmakers knew they had a small but passionate fanbase that would definitely see the film. They were also counting on the fact that the concept of two horror movie icons battling eachother was alluring and unique enough to draw in casual audiences as well. Because of that, I actually don't mind if people see this movie before or after watching any of the films from the 80s and 90s.

Yes, those are some of the scenes from the other Nightmare on Elm Street movies they showed at the beginning, and If you wonder why they didn't show any scenes from the other Friday the 13th movies is because parts 1-8 are owned by Paramount Pictures, this movie is made by New Line CInema. New Line Cinema owns the Nightmare franchise and they bought the rights of Jason with the 9th and 10th movies, but they didn't own the Friday the 13th name, hence why they are called "Jason Goes to Hell - The Final Friday" and "Jason X". You need to watch the Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street movies.

You girls really should not be watching this before you see Nightmare on Elm street the original from the 80's and Friday the 13th as well because it will explian a bit more about them. This is more of a fan movie to me than anything else because those who are fans of both movies have always wanted to see the supernatural killers going head to head as it were. Grate reaction though girls as always. I love this movie so much because I am a freddy Fan and seeing him back again was amazing haha.

Don't get me wrong, it's BEYOND fxcking ridiculous in retrospect, but it's so over the top it ends up being great lol. Both their series had already LOOONG reached ridiculous heights. Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors literally has a karate fight scene with an invisible Freddy and Jason walked around literal Times Square looking for that film's batch of teens to kill lol. Jason even fought a psychic girl in part 7 (my favorite Friday The 13th for various reasons), Jason in space, Jason in hell as a parasitic monster that would possess people etc. This was the only logical next time and they full sent it lol.
