This was hard to watch. They both need extensive counseling for different reasons. But I especially hope she gets the help she needs to gain strength, courage, and confidence.

One of the first things he mentioned was her "controlling past relationship". That was an instant red flag to me.

He is an emotional manipulator. They are like predators. And I paid attention to the fact that she said wherever they just moved she has no friends that’s isolation as well. And why in the hell would he give some woman keys to their home? What type of shit was he smoking?

I could see immediately before either one opened their mouth that he was controlling. The eyes are the windows to the soul..I could see her fear and brokenness. She wasn't even about to bring up that he cheated in the past. The judge had to ask her questions. I pray she loves herself enough to leave. Even when asked she said she would never do that because she loves him to death. No sweetie you got to love God and yourself before you love anybody. The cologne he smelled on the towel was all made up to make her start questioning herself because he has that control. Lord break every chain in the name of Jesus. Many people will abuse you the same way once they know your past of abuse. Not all people are good or have conviction in their heart. It starts slowly and creeps up on you when they feel they can use the past against you. I would say never tell a person your past, but I am not sure that will help, because the only person who would harm you in such a way has to have been that person all along. Yet some do change their approach because they know you are vulnerable and looking for a prince charming to save the day. They dictate their abuse to suit your weakness, but they were going to be abusive nonetheless. Best advice is to take your time and get to know someone and never go into any relationships unhealed. You wont know if your in it because your lonely and broken or because that person is worthy. Judge was spot on.

I don't know this from personal experience and I'm not saying what he said is true(personally I think she traded one abusive relationship for another (No judgement. It happens!)), but children will put you on blast. So it might be a good idea to behave appropriately in the presence of children.
