Yes, there was a good range of options. It did get a bit busy in the late afternoon, though, so get in early.

Also, there are plenty of level spots when you first cross the train track on the left or the right.

Cobblers Pool is on Crown land and there is no free camping. Permission must be granted and shire rangers do patrol the area. Camp at your peril.
