Nice channel mate, basic, simple and practical set up (very similar to mine though my FJ is red) that is affordable to everyone, none of those 50-100k on top of the price of a vehicle builds most people don’t have the time or money to afford (don’t get me wrong love a 4x4 build). Back to when times were simple and it was about getting out and about , 4x4’ing these days seems to be so commercial.
Thanks for taking the time to commnet mate. My set has never really changed over the years. We d8d have a camper trailer for some time. That was just a tent on a offrpas trailer. No power to it. Like our style of camping it was simple. I did look at a red FJ when I was on the hunt for one. But it wasn't the right one for me. Something turned me off about it and I walked away. Cheers
regards to a sauce.... A drill & a fork in the chuck to mix ... 333 pickles, mustard, horse radish & tomato. Brilliant! (easy on the mustard) BTW can't believe the Kookaburras left you alone whilst you're cooking! I found they would even cheekily take food out of your hand.
Thanks Scott, I recently took out a music subscription so the music will be varied now. Maybe my last 3 videos have had the change. Putting back into the channel is good. Thanks again for watching.
We have that firepit and love it. So versitile and light. We carry it in our canopy drawer so its always with us. Cannot tell you how many firepits we have tried.
Thanks for the vid. Just a tip, try running your awning guy ropes straight down instead of on an angle. The awning wont go anywhere if the top poles are taught, and it reduces a couple of tripping hazards. Its just a thought.
Yeh Rich, I generally put a little Worcestershire sauce and sprinkle a little Vegetable Vegeta while cooking my sliced tomatoes and I like them like that. I do carry some BBQ sauce in my kit but don't use very often. I'll have to Give HP sauce a go as I've heard about it a few times now, seems to have a lot of stuff in it, (Ingredients: Tomatoes, Malt Vinegar (from Barley), Molasses, Glucose-Fructose Syrup (from Wheat), Spirit Vinegar, Sugar, Dates, Maize Thickener (1422), Rye Flour, Salt, Spices, Flavours, Tamarind Concentrate). Someone mentioned about the weights of those firepits, there's a few different brands and sizes but size for size, they're all around the same weight. I like them because they are plat packed, but the add-on grill adds considerably more weight. Keep'em coming Rich.
Thanks mate, like my camping set up my cooking is also simple 🤣 The firepit is an interesting one. I have read mamy reviews about different brands vut I think sometimes you just need to jump in and try them out. They have been out for sometime and no doubt there are a few duds on the market. Cheers
Such a great spot to camp on the river👌 The fire pits and grills are great although my Drifta one is splitting and rusting which is disappointing. It still works well.
G'day Will, a lot of the good access areas with "beachside" spots are generally more popular. Ulupna Island is a great spot but definitely attracts the crowds. From my experience it seems quite on tne NSW compared to Vic. A good idea also is to jump on Google maps amd follow tne River looking for sandbars. The Police Paddocks near Rutherglen is good too Cheers
