Going next week. My research is telling me Chi-Bangs and Cucina are free at lunch. You can eat there free for dinner ONE time. If you eat dinner there subsequent times, then you have to pay.
I was on this cruise in April and September. I loved the Mardi Gras. I went to almost every food spot on this ship. Can't wait for my cruise on the Celebration ship.
We will finally get to be on the Mardi Gras in July this year. It is nice to see all the food options that are included. You said it is impossible to try all the included food option. WELL I ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE!!! LOL. Big Chicken and Street Eats are what I am looking forward to try. Of course i have to do a HUGE shrimp burrito on our embarkment day. That has been my tradition for about 9 years or so.
We just went on the Mardi Gras a week ago. We had a blast. The food was wonderful. We did my time dining at the Palm restaurant. We ate breakfast and dinner there. There is a Chinese and Mexican restaurant that we ate at once. Lunch was Guys burger joint, Shaqs big chicken, pizza, and sandwiches, plus the bbq place. Sorry i dont remember the names😊😊The sandwich shop next to the pizza shop was wonderful. For drinks we enjoyed the bar next to the brass magnolia, fortune teller, Grand Central bar along with the alchemy bar. One place we truly missed out on was the Havana bar. We stumbled upon that our last night. The entertainment was amazing. Piano lounge, comedy club, brass magnolia and grand central area all had amazing stuff to see and listen. 7:53
Hi. Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for this terrific video! My DW, adult daughter and I just watched it by casting to our TV. You showed all the seemingly endless varieties of food, and we really enjoyed it! We've been on Mardi Gras a couple of times and are going again soon. Thanks. I like your easygoing style and presentation.
A chicken burger isn't the same as a turkey burger! A chicken (burger) sandwich is a chicken breast on a burger bun and at times is called a chicken burger. A turkey burger is ground turkey meat made as a hamburger!
Excellent video! I would need to book a 15day in order to enjoy all of the FREE food offerings. I would have to take 1-2 days off to.give my tummy a break...lol
Those foods looked so good! My only problem is that I just finished a plate of lasagna so I wasn't hungry as I watched this vid! My group goes on Mardi Gras next month. Can't wait to try some of those dishes! I enjoyed watching!
Great video. Seeing this makes me even more disappointed in my cruise last month. The food was absolutely terrible. The only things worth eating were Guys Burgers and the Blue Iguana, so of course the lines were ridiculous. One night on the dinner buffet they had Hamburger Helper. Yes i'm serious.
what ship were you on?? Carnival's dinner buffet tends to be very weak. We've gone up to it like twice, didn't see anything that excited us, and we ate in MDR (which was fine). The MG in particular looks really good, especially while chibang, P&A, cucina are complimentary...
@@monkeyb1820 Don't expect quality food anymore unless you pay for the specialty dining. Cruise lines have lost billions and have not recovered, better off going to Las Vegas buffet for a good affordable dinner.
@@jt8280 the last time I was in vegas, the buffets were kind of pricey. I think the 'cheap buffet' era ended around 30+ years ago. Overall, the food on the cruises still looks pretty good considering prices to consumers have gone up 200+ percent for many things.
carnival's dinner buffet is pretty weak (as opposed to the lunch buffet shown here, which is solid). Other than that not a huge difference. Guy's, Blue Iguana, and now Big Chicken are awesome. We do like the specialty places on NCL, which we usually choose as part of our booking (I've read that you can opt out of that, but we typically do the 'default' which is to do 3 or 4 nights of specialty dining over a weeklong cruise.
The Soda machine; They serve one ounce of Pepsi for 21 cents plus gratuity of 18%? Let me figure that out for 12 ounces!!! Meanwhile, I plan to take my own cans! Me loves me a Pepsi!
You'd be surprised at the big ships. Btw- It's an industry fact- of the major cruiselines ( RCCL, NCL, Carnival and the like)- Carnival has the best food 1😉
