DWSIM is a free and open-source software for chemical process simulations. It is an alternative to expensive software for students to gain process simulation skills. The download link is given below. In the first part of the video, you will learn how to download and install DWSIM on your PC. Then you will learn how to perform shortcut distillation calculations on this software.

Thank you for detailed lecture! But I have a question about LK & HK. What's the standard or condition for selecting the light key & heavy key? I remember from my student's memory that the Heavy key is normally selected for mainly unboiling(?) material. (I mean the material which is more contained at bottom area)

thank you for the expplanation if i have a superheated fluid how can i handle it on dwsim? i tried but in the characteristic of the fuild in the phase point he tell me that it is a liquid even if it is not possible (CO2 at 80 bar and 700K)
