I havent tried this version yet but i have done the ceiling fan version and that DID work. The fan only drew 35 watt hours so therefore only produced the same as a generator, I was able to power anything up to 35 watt hours without a capacitor (raw connection)

I believe the cap terminals are connected to the 3V coil other side. You can see the 120V transformer where he draws power from and the HV windings are open and grounded to the transformer body.

Im embarrassed i bit, and dident catch that right away! But he gets 100 points for beying very deceptive, kinda lol
