Played the game thrice, never got to encounter any of the bugs you mention. Though I may mention a disturbing graphical artefact during the hacking minigame which kept me from scrolling down. It forced me to use a gamepad every single time I had to hack something. Bugger. To me, this game has one weakness : it's damn too short, it feels like it got cut halfwaythrough for cashin reasons. On the other hand, it helped me remember I hadn't enjoyed the first Deus Ex, the actual masterpiece in this saga, for quite sometime. And now, as the saying goes, I once again feel ready to reinstall Deus Ex Original because you simply mentionned "Deus Ex", as the famous saying goes. Thanks for that, bruh. JC Denton, here I come... A game! So have my like and sub for that. But for the love of actual Deus, don't forget to give some love to the real, one and only Deus Ex. It deserves your attention, even if it's a bit old, there's the alleged end you're looking for. The GMDX mod plugin succeeds in solving all issues in that regard. Also you get to understand everything you didn't get through the MD intro, that way. EDIT : "so is it a fitting end?" >> No, it's a prequel to Deus Ex. So you might wanna talk about a fitting beginning instead, here.
The game certainly felt rushed and a little unfinished, I'm glad to hear the bugs I encountered weren't there for everyone. It didn't feel too short to me, personally, though there was a lot of threads left dangling for another entry in the series - having said that, I'd have been happy if the story was longer, I was enjoying it. As I mentioned in the review, the world was so well realised that the side quests were engaging too, I wouldn't have minded a few more in each chapter to explore. I'm glad to hear that you've gone back to the original, enjoy the replay! I don't have the money to get the original Deus Ex, the only reason I reviewed this was because it was free, so fingers crossed Amazon or Epic decide to give it away! I'll definitely play it after playing Mankind Divided, and with your recommendation. Thanks for the sub, I appreciate that!
