HEAR ME ARTHUR BONERZONER400K - I came into the fandom very recently - but I really have enjoyed your channel as among my favorite 40k creators (or in general because I just like your style). Also, as a fellow science knower, I'm gonna check out that Kickstarter!\ ANYWAY, I for one think you should ONLY do longform content; that you are not already on a 1 hour minimum format is the biggest reason I can say to you COME ONNN I can see a staged photo when I see it, I know you don't "read" or do "background/prep work" for your content because our opinions line up too well, and I just got into the fandom. I'm 100% kidding, but PLEASE consider looking into more longform stuff. I really enjoy your work and would love to have more, not least because it's clear you are knowledgeable of the lore as well as the tabletop, you do the research/prep on the material, and you splice in edits to catch any errors. I want more of that!
"Because even in 40k your Orphanages need bunkers, for some reason." he says, unironically, not seconds after saying "Because the Night Lords had showed up to kidnap children to make into more Night Lords." GEE, DO YOU THINK THESE TWO THINGS ARE RELATED?!
For a second there, the guy sounded like the antagonist version of a Mary Sue. One of the very best in combat, leadership, tactics, charisma, with the direct favour of the Chaos gods, a huge and special dragon mount, and the ability to perma-kill his enemies' only immortal troops. Then he died.
A truly capable night lords that could eat battle sister and black templar for breakfast, using power axe and lightning claw and riding two headed giant heldrake and the power to permanently kill saints? HOW METAL DOES THAT SOUNDS!? Kol rakhul now have become my favourite character
as some who at my scholastic bookfair always looked for books like the mythical monsters, dragons, etc; I'm very happy and hyped to see a book about dragon anatomy.
So let me see if i got this right. Normal nightlord: *Stealth coward shitlord tatics* This guy: "I WANT YOU TO SEE ME COMMING, YOU WILL KNOW TRUE FEAR!!!" The guy is awesome, i hope he comes back.
Hearing that last bit about the warband gunning it for Terra after he got his sister's skull back makes me think Rakul was going to effectively use Terra to commit the galaxy's most brutal, bloodsoaked suicide imaginable. After that point, after Ophelia VII was nought but ashes, what else was really there to do but reunite with his beloved sister in death, and in the only way a champion of Khorne knew how. That or he just wanted to burn all remaining sanctums of the Sororitas to the ground, which were all on Terra....
"My OC can kill living saints forever and hes better in combat than black templar marshals and the chaos gods like him and he leads a khorne warband and he beats up my bullies"
While I agree, it’s only fair that Chaos gets one after the 50+ loyalist books of Bobius Nohelmeton killing thirty chaos champions and a daemon prince without any issue.
@@Court_of_Crows560Brother that book is in hiatus as long as the night is dark. Rest your hopes. Im pretty sure there’s an offhand remark somewhere that the ulthwe Eldar crush the night lord attack
We're getting Primarch number 6. We got a minor Chaos God. We got the Silent King. We got the King of Bones and the two most popular Necrons playing with C'tan shards. We have the Eldar quest to do a shash and grab from Slanesh. We have Ghaz deciding being dead just won't do and becoming pretty much an avatar of Gork and Mork. We have a Chaos Saint. We probably have a bunch more stuff that I'm not even aware of. Ether GW is really cooking and we're in for something really massive or they're just throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. My worry is that it's the latter. Vashtor and the Silent King actually have models and had whole mission decks and even a game mode centered around them and then nothing. Twice dead king was well received and the Infinite and the Divine was a straight up hit, selling more than any book in the black library exept Horus Heresy 1. No follow up. Trazyn didn't even get a new model. Then we have all the stuff that's lore only. If there's no plastic to sell I don't think they're going to focus on expanding the lore.
0:16, the words: "See, I tend to read books in batches, so I can get a better idea of what I'm gonna do in the future:" The image: "“And how much is Professor Dumbledore paying you, Winky?” Hermione asked kindly." Oh no, we're about to get Lored on the wonders of the Wizarding World!
Ngl... i had to pause this so i could see where i could get the book before i watch the rest of this video.... i just love that were getting more night lords love.
Hey man I just gotta say I love your content and especially the way you delve into certain subjects when talking about 40k, you tend to go at it from angles that you just don't see with other people and it makes your videos super interesting. Also love to listen to them while at the gym, keep up the good work!
I checked out at "Khorne worshipping Night Lords". The 8th Legion views the worship of ANYTHING as WEAKNESS. It's been lore since 2nd edition. The "new Decimus" is DECIMUS. Cmon ADB, write the book already.
I’ll be honest, I hope She’s not a “living Saint of Chaos”, cause the whole living Saint thing was just a way to give the imperium a way to bring back characters like chaos can, and to have sort of pseudo-daemon lords like Chaos (since the Emperor hasn’t fully reached apotheosis)
PLEASE have longer videos in the future!! I find your voice satisfying on top of the everywhere at the end of time music in the background. You've hit a weird sweet spot in the presentation of your videos that makes you more unique and interesting to watch than other warhammer youtubers. I find myself rewatching your videos a lot
This book was a great read, and I’m not usually a fan of sisters book fan the back and forth really hooked me. I’m not an elder fan but man a night lords vs eldar book in this kind of back and forth style would go so hard. I don’t can that the night lords wouldn’t win. I just want to watch the crazy murder boys fight the holier than thou future seers. Just one side using logic and the ability to see the future to plan counter offensives and the other side making that hard by refusing to use their own abilities to see the future to do anything the logical and instead focus on committing as many crimes as possible before abandoning a bunch of their own people as a distraction and scurrying back into the shadows.
Till near the end I was excited thinking I finally got exactly what I want for chaos. I really want a true menacing threat and a model for said character like Acheons in AOS but now I have a tombstone that says "here lies my hopes and dreams"
I was listening to this video, not really watching it, when he started talking about dragonatomy. I thought you were talking about a bad dragon situation. I was surprised and happy; it wasn’t that.
I’m still sour at Kol Rakhul’s death. Imagine the chemistry between him and Huron Blackheart. God, he even had the father-daughter dynamic juxtaposed with Abaddon. And since he’s spearheading his own independent crusade type war he’d be able to interact with other, wider factions and war bands. The character interactions and world building would be phenomenal.
I liked the scene with the “lucky” man, builds churches on a beautiful world, has a beautiful partner, has always been lucky. Then the dragon shows up, the lords of night start cutting folks up. He doesn’t suffer, he’s always been lucky like that.
The way they did his story at the beginning of the book because it claimed the saint and his soul were brother and sister and it's thought of as metaphor only for you to realize later WAIT HE'S RELATED TO A SAINT OF THE SISTERHOOD
ok, I have a new favorite character, he's khornate that has a mind still, he has serated lightning claw(something i planned on kitashing some models before this), and has pet dragon(also on my to kitbash list) i need to get this book. also would love see the dark living saint video
Kol won. He got his sister's skull back and it sounded like all he wanted was to find a place to die as one can imagine by a declaration to charge terra. He lost everything and gained a satisfaction that always left him wanting. So he checked off his bucketlist and tried to go out on blaze of glory. At least that's what I understand. I cheered for him all the way through this video.
Yes. I would love to see 30 minute long form videos, even 40+ minutes. I know I like me some long form content. Also, I can't wait to get that Dragon Taxonomy D&D book
I have been slacking on building my night lords, and this video was essentially me learning about this cool khorne warband that has an awesome character and thinking about how I'd kitbash him and all this cool stuff, only to then hear he got butchered. RIP
I will definitely add this to my audible list if it's on there. I enjoy the sisters book. I find they have the none over powered aspects that I guess guard have but also have the "brother" or in their case "Sister" unity stuff that was so evident in the first few horus heresy books. Lots of stereotyping with their books mind you. Oh look there's the cannonness, she's arrogant and a bit of a pitch but she's a martyr at the end and did it all for courage and honor.
I don't really like the night lord tbh but this was awesome. The right mix of tragedy and malice to make just a metal chaos lord. Just the "we're going to Terra next" with zero Fs given, badass man.
