C-shape is very similar to that of a swirl. It is a restrained swirl. So I took the two of them to show you that you can switch back and forth between the designs. I show you how to change direction and ow addition of echo lines can change the look of your designs. It is a fun exercise to practice your swirls and nine examples of different patterns to use in your quilts.

Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I think it’s beneficial to be re-reminded of the simple shapes that began our journeys!👏🏻👏🏻

You are welcome! I like coming back to the basics. Sometimes I am getting stuck in complex patterns and such simple exercises help me to understand the shape and to develop further. ❤❤❤

I very much needed these practice exercises. Thank you for giving me a goal for when my machine comes back from the shop. 🎶💐💖

Hi Carla, you are welcome. This video was kind of spontanous. And I needed a break from the more demanding projects. It also did me good to refresh the basis and focus on the small details❤❤❤

Yes thanks for reminding us to practice our basics. I miss your beautiful music. I often play your videos while listening am practicing or piecing a quilt together

Basics are important. Coming back to them too. And I also miss music but it was such a hassle. I can recommend to you Arnoud Amar music and Florian Christl. They have beautiful music you can put in the background. This is what I listen to when I quilt. ❤❤❤

Your videos are truly inspiring! What stitch length are you using? I use a 2.5 and I think the stitches are too short. I think yours look much better.

Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. I am not using a stich regulator so my stiches result from the speed of my machine and how fast I am using the sandwich. I like the constant hum of my machine and the stich regulator changes the pitch all the time. ❤❤❤

Sorry for asking since I am sure it had been asked before. Where did you get your quilting foot?
@quiltingnerd

All my quilting feet came with my machine. I paid extra attention that they are included or that they are available. ❤❤❤

Are you making your design in a 2 inch parameter?
