Where did you find out about this. And this is the only video on radio hacks I could see on your page. I have a 2021 and I don't have all the theme options.

@@g8morganogt is there any problems with ubgrading to the newest sync? I have 2015 ecobost and my phone syne is not working for phone calls. Works for audio. Up untill a week ago it worked. I have already pulled the fuse and that did not work.
To change the background on a 2015. Your truck should have a SD card reader the lower dash, if have a center console, I'm not sure where its at. Download some images off the internet onto the SD card. Plug SD card into sd port in truck. Go into radio menu, in setting and download images. Now you and change background to whatever you downloaded. You can search some of the old Ford fan discussion sites for a better how to.
If you unplug the bottom connector on the trailer module under the dash, you will need to plug it back in if you hook up a trailer. If you do not your lights and or trailer brakes will not work. Just a fyi!
@@MrVTC ...along with disabling blind-spot detection and cross-traffic alert. It works better if you jumper the switch to be permanently ON, or purchase the aftermarket jumper plug which doesn't disable these other functions. The other option is to use the Forscan tool to program it out, which is NOT for amateurs.
@@MrVTC this will also disable the auto dimming mirrors, something I’m not willing to give up. There’s a small wire that attaches to the battery that senses the charging so the computer can increase or decrease the alternator output. Disconnecting that wire will disable the auto start stop.
Me too, wish I saw this sooner... only thing left of the truck was the radio sitting in a pile of melted aluminum. Scooped it up when the fire department left and brought it to the dealer, and right away they said you went into test mode didn't you? I choked a bit saying I was just changing channels and they knew I lied. Now I have a radio, and no truck. At least the scrap guy was happy about the aluminium.
