These 2 exams are close to your exam. This will definitely help. However, your exam has a fine arts, health, and physical education section. These two elementary ed exams do not. Hi! They are similar in content, but the biggest difference is the 5006 has a lot of teaching scenarios for the math. The math is easier than the 5001 math in terms of process, but the scenarios can be tough. I would look over the specs of each by googling the test names and the words study companion. The 7811 is very similar. I hope to have 5017 eventually, but the 7811 is a very similar test. The specs are almost the same.

Great question. Are you sure you have to take both? That is super annoying because one will do. The 5001 and 5006 Reading and Language arts sections are pretty much the same. The math is a little different. The 5001 math, which is the 5003 subtest, is just straight math without any teaching scenarios. The 5006 math, which is the 5008 subtest, is more teaching scenarios. So you have to know the math and apply it to students' processes. 5001 The ELA and Reading, math, social studies, and science are all different subtests - 5002, 5003, 5004, 5005 5006 The Reading and Language arts and social studies are one subtest - 5007 The math and science are one subtest--the 5008. The science and social science of the 5006 will have some teaching scenario questions as well. The best way to distinguish between the two tests is to look over the specs of the two exams and compare them. Just google "Praxis 5006 Study Companion" and "Praxis 500 Study Companion" and they will come up. Thanks for watching.

They are very similar exams. However, the 7811 has a lot more teaching scenario questions. For example, the math on the 7813 requires you to do math, but it also requires you to identify student mistakes and prescribe interventions. The 5003 math is just straight math.
