Thanks Sam so glad this is happening again! Love the Tribeca what a beautiful pattern! What about the free Helens closet Luna tank for your low stretch jersey?
Awww Sam, I love the tank top you showed. Your're just so lovey sharing all of these free patterns. Can't remeber the name, but I think the trousers with the chambray will be gorgeous on you. Thanks so much for a fab challenge. I really do love that it forces folk to use their stash and a free pattern❤ Well done to you and Ruan x😻👏
That was fab! I have just printed off and stuck my pattern together and I am not a fan of doing that!🤣 Now what to make it in, and quickly make it up before the end of next week. Have a great weekend, thank you.
for free shirts, there's the V&A customizable shirt pattern designed by Alice & Co. it calls for 2.2m for the standard long sleeve but you might be able to squeeze it out if you do a short sleeve. lots of fun options on that one.
Thanks Sara, yes I'd looked at the Alice co one & think what put me off was that it was only a half placket, but it might work for another fabric I have - I especially like the shrt dress option they made 🤗
I adore this challenge and finding out about all the great free patterns. I'm working on a Uvita top from Itch to Stitch, combining two navy fabric scraps. Super frugal! Thanks for doing all the organization of the challenge.
Another pattern named after me ! Yay! LOL. I grew up going by "Nomi", SOI has a dress and now this free blouse that you presented. Thanks for the information. 💕
Thanks so much for this round-up of free patterns! The Nomi and Tribeca are very intriguing to me, especially the Nomi since I was imagining something like that for a deadstock fabric I got recently which can be visible on both sides and has a fun vibe (a check with butterflies and color bursts) but couldn't find a good ruffle pattern (don't want to accentuate my bust). For the 1.5 m fabric you mentioned, for which you asked for a pattern suggestion, the Vivace Dolman from Love Notions can be made in that amount of fabric (top/short sleeve) and it's $5 today only (March 3, 2023). Added note: Looked further on the Nomi pattern site, Tianna's Closet, and found one cute pattern after the other, all free!! So excited!!
Thanks for the suggestion Karen, the butterfly fabric will be lovely for the Nomi & you're right there's lots of lovely free patterns on her website & I'm looking forward to trying them out 🤗
Thanks Sam. He’s fine with antibiotics and pain killers to sort his leg after what must have been a fight. She found a claw in his head too. And I’m £130 worse off but I’m not moaning, he’s my sewing buddy. 🐈😻
I really love the Wardrobe by Me Tropicana shirt. It was an immediate TNT, I was pleased as well with the drafting. I have broad shoulders, so was attracted to it because it’s raglan button down. FWIW. Lots of good ideas I see in the comments. For tanktops, for the interlock cotton knit, the Luna tank, perhaps modified a bit, by Helen’s Closet I believe is a free download.
Hi Sam . I have absolutely fallen in love with the summer jacket. I am having a very difficult time being able to pull the website up in English. I want to make this jacket to wear with my jeans. Can you help please ????

The Anastasia Blouse pattern might work for that fabric. I forgot I got that pattern last year so if I have a suitable fabric in my stash, I might go for it.
Loving your ideas Sam. I planned in last year’s challenge to make the trousers, printed etc. but ran out of time so looking forward to seeing how they turn out. I think the frilled bottom top looks so pretty and along with the trousers would make a lovely outfit. Can’t wait to see your makes. Sorry I’m not taking part this year, but you know I have other things on my mind.❤❤❤
Aw Shirley, yes I completely understand & sending llove & best wishes 🤗 I've got the pattern all cut out for the Sara pants, so they will definitely get made 👍
Hi Sam, just thinking about UK and A4 printing, I understand that Fabulosew can stitch a4 files together and produce an a0 print so that’s worth a thought. I just tested with the wilder and the price was £8 . It’s not free but printing. Not free at home either. Just a thought
I was looking at the Florence skirt pattern and it only shows A4 and copyshop files. I am in the US and wasn't sure if there was a way for me to print it.
Hi Pamela, I’ve just been on to the SizeMe website & if you read the description it does say IS letter size as well as A4. But if you want to double check, just send Donna an email (she is the owner/designer) I’m sure she will help you out 🤗
Thanks Sam..I love the shape of the Sarah pants and something I would wear in the summer…only problem is I have never made trousers and a fly front scares the heck out of me.. 😂 xx
I’m so glad you are doing this challenge again this year. I love the Tribeca blouse as you can never have too many long sleeve blouses in your wardrobe. Great for our British summers.
Ooh some great patterns there, especially love the maison fauve pattern, an hopping over there to check that one out now thanks! I think it would look great in the white fabric combined with the atelier brunette goes to the market fabric! 😍
I love that color blocked too! So interesting and that little blue floral is perfect. But then you showed the ruffle top. I think I need to make that one! If you decide to use the camisole instructions for drafting your own, try cutting your fabric on the bias to give yourself some stretch! And you can skip the bra shelf if you want. Happy sewing Sam!
The Fabric Store has the Noa shirt pattern which is a classic…I think you’d have enough fabric for it. Thanks sharing your ideas and I’ll be looking forward to seeing what you make up. 😊
