Hi there - for me I wouldn't say it's necessarily the sound as in my opinion you can get most analog synths to sound more or less like one or other when programming sounds - but this has some unique features that other synths don't have such as the ability to 'morph' between two presets (each preset actually holds 2 sounds and you can move between which can't do on any other synth that I'm aware of), plus the morphee controller to the left of the keys which is an X/Y touch sensitive controller but can also be pushed up and down in the Z axis and then the inclusion of a good old fashioned ribbon controller on the panel just above the keys. The other thing is like its sibling (the MatrixBrute) which I also have, the modulation matrix is simple, intuitive and massively powerful. It's very tactile and pretty much one knob per function with very little menu diving. And to my ears it does actually just sound superb, by far the best sounding synth I have in my studio 🙂

Hi - open the preset browser in Polybrute Connect (to the left of the ‘preset name’ at the top of the screen there’s an icon, 3 vertical lines with one slanted line). Then either; 1. click on ‘Explore’ and then chose ‘Banks’ from the filters above the preset list and you should find all the installed sound banks to choose from. 2. Open the preset browser as above and then just click on ‘Soundbanks’ in the left hand menu and again will show all the installed sound banks. To get the sound on the polybrute itself, just click on the required preset in polybrute connect and the sound will come up on the actual polybrute. If you want it on the polybrute ‘permanently’, you need to save the presets in a project - in the project section there is then a ‘send to polybrute’ option. Hope that helps.
