There's so much wisdom here. I love your explanation of the abs staying soft and they relax in during the inhale so the back can expand. Thanks for keep putting me back on the bicycle, getting me all set and giving me another shove. The gift you are giving us with each of your videos will keep giving. Here's to free-throated singing!

Absolutely love the concept of focusing all attention on action/reaction points, leaving no room for action in the throat. I found it much much more effective than drawing the mind to the throat in hope of avoiding tension. Invaluable knowledge, saving up for a class with you :)

Mr Trimble! I just want to thank you very much for your teachings. You make it incredibly easier to understand all the concepts involving vocal technique. More than that, the way you explain is helping correct years of bad vocal habits....! Thank you very much

Dear maestro, I'm only able to mimic the snoring sound on exhaling, yet I can see that you're inhaling when you do it, I tried to mimic it on the inhale but it's not happening, what am I doing wrong?

Hi Mr.Trimble! I just wanted to ask on tips to keep the breath stop intact even when on high notes as I feel some sort of pressure on my stomach or sternum while going on high notes, but my larynx keeps rising (it may be a false sense of pressure). So I was wondering on tips to keep the pressure intact without having high notes soft and air slightly leaking (the paper doesn’t move though). Thank you so much!
@Tenoretrimble
@Tenoretrimble 3 года назад
Tips will not be enough. you need a few lessons to learn how to keep the larynx in place. it has to do with breathing and control of the breath once you have it in the lower back where it belongs. Watch every video that mentions breathing and read Caruso book about breathing. it is the power of the respiration (Caruso's quote from his book. Read my book about the great singers and how they breathed. Good Luck, Michael t

Dear sir! Thank you for the video and when i try to mimick your voice, i usually feel pain and tension on my throat. Is it probably because of inadequate breath? I am waiting for anyone's advice here

@@TheMerahi you supposed to not feel pain on your throat, and mimicing his voice is not always be a good sign. Maybe your breath had not develop yet, but guess what? I'm not pro also, i still begin with this bel canto singing thing, and i really struggle with it like,,,, what the hell i was mix-singing, and i realized that it is inaccurate for your vocal quality, so i start myself to learn bel canto.

@@TheMerahi umm... We can give a feedback about the vocal improvement, what do you think, do u want to be friend with me? I mean, in case of giving feedback about this. Because i really self taught studying about bel canto vocal, there is no one in my enviroment having this type of voice.

After I watched his videos many times, I realised that if you want to sing properly without any modification, you must have a large lung and breath capacity. Otherwise, you will always move your throat and wind up destroying your voice.
@Tenoretrimble
@Tenoretrimble 3 года назад
The lung and breath capacity can be developed by doing Yoga, playing a wind or brass instrument, long-distance swimming, or hiking while counting steps (the Caruso Method), or cycling, especially in hilly or mountainous terrain. Read my book and learn about who did what to develop what Caruso called the "MASSIVE POWER OF THE RESPIRATION REQUIRED FOR GREAT SINGING" OR MANUEL GARCIA'S "SUPERABUNDANCE OF THE BREATH NECESSARY FOR BEAUTIFUL SINGING".
