just got two freecom 4xs and for standalone use theyre great, but pairing is an absolute nightmare, i couldnt have come up with a worse system if i tried
Totally true, we wanted to ride with 4 (2 times 4x and 2 times packtalk bold) we litterly tried for 45 min to pair them all 4 but no succes........ horrible system

Fire your programmers and manual writers. Seriously, the non-specific manual reads like it was written by a kindergartener for someone who is already familiar with the device. It is filled with one-liners that don’t have the substance to give the operations’ proper contexts in a useful manner.

We have tried 6 units, yes 2 each among the 3 of us of the Cardo freecom + and are extremely disappointed, between terrible voice commands, to ridiculous specific voice command requests, to bad intercon call quality even though we were all 3 within 300m of eachother. The volume on max is no where near as loud as it should be, they should be expecting people to wear earplugs. Will say wind noise cancelation is good. The usability of the interface is also pathetic for a $225 unit.
Why do you lie to us about the range? You say that the riders can talk up to 0.8 miles or 1.2 km. According to Cardo Support, Bluetooth pairing like this only has a range of 0.3 miles. PLEASE be more specific and don't lead us to believe something that just is not true.
@@CardoSystemsGlobal Again, you are only referring to pairing with TWO riders, not four. In that case you connect via one channel and get a maximum of 1.2km range. To connect 3 or 4 riders you must do a Bluetooth intercom, or what CARDO calls "chainlink" connection. This gets you 1/4th of that range, or 0.3 miles. The video, and the advertising for the Freecom 4, do not inform the customer of that fact. How do I know this? Here is the verbatim response I received from CARDO Support yesterday: "The regular intercom using one channel at a time has the .8 mile range the chainlink is only going to give you about .3 miles." If you are going to advertise the Freecom 4 as being able to connect four riders, then don't tell them they will get a distance of 1.2km maximum as that is not true.

It simply doesn’t work if you want to connect more than two riders. Range is crap and it disconnects from phone frequently. I have an iPhone 13 and have updated the hardware. I’ve lost hours of riding time just to try to pair it. Screaming is more effective. Don’t buy.
I cannot get even 2 units to pair for intercom watched so many of you videos and still wont do a single thing you show. My Chinese rip off is easier to use Freecom 4+ = freecom 0

I have a pair of freecom4 and a pair of Q3 for my family. I'm ok to pair 3 helmet but impossible to add the fourth one. I have followed step by step your instructions in this video. When the third rider try to connect with the fourth one, it says «busy» I have sent an email to cardo support center few days ago, did not get any response yet. HELP
Posseggo un freecom 4 acquistato qualche anno fa e sin dall'inizio ho avuto problemi e già una volta è stato inviato a Cardo in garanzia perchè la funzione interfono non funzionava, dopo qualche mese mi è stato restituito funzionante. Ancora qualche mese di utilizzo e non funziona la versione interfono, mentre abbinamento col cellulare va bene. Mi potete aiutare? In attesa di Vs. nuove, saluti.

please need help. i can pair 3 riders (2x freecom4 en 1x G4). and i can connect with gps tomtom rider 50, but i cannot do both at the same time, because one overrules the other. what goes wrong. please help? thanks in advance.
