I can hold my breath for 6:30 min but that's without moving. When you have to swim then the dives last 2-4 minutes.

Spectacular!! Just spent two days freediving these springs and loved every moment of it! There is a great swimthrough that takes roughly a minute and a half from Devil's Eye to Devil's Ear as well. The river is still tannic, but makes for some amazing footage with all the colors mixing and the sun light shining through.

Very glad to hear that. I'll check your channel. Besides the joy of freediving itself, biggest joy out of doing this is to help others get inspired or motivated.

Thank you for publicizing the beauty of the freshwater springs in Florida. I love visiting and making free dives into them myself. though not as long as yours. They are definitely natural gems that should be seen and preserved! . Some other pretty ones are Salt Springs, Blue Springs and Troy springs.

Seni tekrar kutluyorum.

I use soft fins (C4 Falcon 25), C4 carbon fins are so well made that you don't need them to be stiff.

In another dive, which is featured in the long version of this video, I hit my back on the rock somewhere due to a strong current and had to take a day of rest, the comment is regarding that and not a general warning sign or anything.

C4 nice fins if you live in the us there is a nice local manufacturer of carbon fins made in usa named moana fins check them if you have time and reply what you think thx =) and have a great dives!
@theamazingdives
@theamazingdives 11 лет назад
You mean laying on my back? Not really. It's just comfortable since i make no effort to stay up and it's always much better to inhale from air directly instead of through a snorkel. And the view there was pretty too :)
@theamazingdives
@theamazingdives 11 лет назад
No I don't. Especially if it's done following the guidelines that help preserve the balance of the species such as dates and sizes to fish etc.

Yes, we here in North Central FL must protect our waterways from the detrimental effects of agricultural runoff. There is currently giant acquisition of land underway, by the Stronach Group, to slaughter hundreds of cattle a day. The tri-county area of Marion, Levy, Alachua, as well as Gilchrist and Dixie, are under political siege. If Stronach is able to accomplish his mission, all the springs will see their demise. It's just a matter of time. How can I help?
