We've done both. We've gotten off the ship and done two different excursions to Atlantis/Paradise Island, we've walked around the port extensively, and we've walked around the port briefly. We've also stayed on the ship when we did a short 3-night Disney Cruise because we wanted to have as much time as possible on the ship. I'm thinking of maybe visiting Blue Lagoon next time - will watch your vlog on that before deciding.
@@MyCruisingFamily yes I think we’d pass up Nassau on a short Disney cruise too! We’d love to try Atlantis one day but the tickets are way over priced to us.
Nassau is one of my favorite ports. I call my friend Kendrick Curry to come get me every time. I have been getting teas from Tasty Teas for years. I made a trip when the pandemic first happened to get some teas.
I was trying to decide if this tour would be worth it and so glad I came across your video! Were you able to use US dollars everywhere you went? Thanks for all the info!
This looks like it was a fun tour. Lord all those stairs though, made me tired just watching 😂My husband felt the same way about my son and I doing only Carnival excursions since we were traveling alone. Great vlog! I love when people find fun stuff to do in Nassau.
Good Sunday afternoon. When we go to Nassau we get off catch a driver (Mr. Johnson) he take us to the beach and around town. We have fun. I had some conch (fried fritters) the last time. It was good. This looks like a great tour you both went on. I love it .
Hello. No they didn’t allow time for swimming. But since the tour is only 3-4 hours you’d have time to go to the free beach that is 15 minutes from the ship. The tour passes by there and you can ask to end your tour there
Great video! Just what I was looking for since we’re thinking of doing this excursion next month! Were there bathrooms available in most stops? We’re bringing my daughter and she’s recently potty trained so I’m a bit worried about that 😅
It was a decent tour but I don’t think it was very engaging for my 5 year old so I wouldn’t recommend for younger than 8 or so. It’s nice though cause you can get a great overview of the island.
Thank you 😊. The teas that we ordered from the counter were really good. But the ones we purchased for home don’t taste the same. When we are in Nassau next month I plan to ask them what we can add to ours so they taste just as good!
Yes that’s correct. And honestly it wasn’t even worth the stop. I’ve heard the tours and chocolate making are good when you book it separately but as part of a tour they give you a crumb as a sample and they didn’t even talk. We were in and out in just like 2 min but the driver dropped us off for 30 min cause it’s a narrow street and no parking is allowed
Hello! Great video! Question: Is there time to taste the food at the Fish Fry? Is it an actual stop? We're thinking of taking this tour in December with my mom-in-law and sister-in-law on their first cruise ever. 🙂❤️
I hope they enjoy their 1st cruise! The fish fry wasn’t open when we got there. They open at noon and we got there around 11. It might be an actual stop for the afternoon tour but ours was just a drive through. Now we did go to the fish fry on our other Freedom of the Seas vlog from end of May 2022- but the food was really expensive! Check that one out! I plan to go back there when I’m not with the entire family lol cause we refused to pay over $100 for lunch.
Looks like a nice island tour, and I think I would've grabbed a Goombay punch too... so yummy! I enjoy a variety or teas, so that shop with the tea would've probably been my favorite part of that tour because I may have stocked up. lol Looking forward to seeing your submarine experience!
The teas were really good! I just can’t figure out how to get the teas that I purchased to taste like the samples they gave us! I’ll be asking when we are in Nassau again in a few weeks! We appreciate your continued support!
So I’m guessing the tasting part is the Rum Cake, Tea Place, and Chocolate? Also do you have to eat at the Fish Fry or are there other restaurants around. I’m asking cuz I’m allergic to fish.
Yes that is correct. Those were the tasting parts. The Fish Fry was close when we visited but they have options beside fish. There is also a strip of food places right beside it that only sell bbq items. I found the prices too be very expensive when we later visited during open hours but I’ve heard there are some good spots out there!
If you take the afternoon tour then yky can eat at the Fishfry but you’ll have to pay for cab to get back (5-10 minute ride) Ours was just drove by it. It’s doesn’t open til closer to noon so we couldn’t eat.
If it’s a cruise line sponsored excursion, no you won’t get left. If you booked outside the cruiseline they generally give a little bit of wait time, especially when the excursion is so close to the arrival time- but no guarantees that they will wait. Also keep in mind the ship arrival time is an estimate. Most of the time the ship arrives way before arrival time. Enjoy your cruise!
