You don’t have to be a truck driver of someone from a company to join anyone in any type of vehicle can show support in something they believe in and some of us truckers have a family at home to feed we can’t all get in our trucks and travel across the country but we can donate to the cause and spread the word. But that’s the way I see it. I’m sure most people just see there tv screens and believe it.

The damage done to society and the number of lives to be lost has yet to be fully reckoned - how many people with cancer will die because of lack of diagnostics such as colonoscopies, mammograms, etc, indefinite cancellations of of surgeries to remove malignancies or alleviate suffering, children being messed up by having their schooling disrupted, people losing their businesses, cost of living increases making people unable to buy homes or buy groceries, eye-watering national debt that will cripple the country if not bankrupt it altogether, and I could go on and on about the disastrous consequences of all these restrictions and inept management by our gvts - yet you trust them fully and demand that we all bow before their wise dictates without question! Many of the measures imposed, like capacity limits, forcing people to wear masks outdoors, imposing curfews, blocking inter-provincial travel, etc, are completely unproven. There is not a single credible scientific study that can be produced to support them. They are merely acting on a "gut feeling" . The abrogation of our Carter Rights - especially for years on end -is not the place to applying the 'precautionary principle". Their main failure has been to slash our public health care system for years and years, and instead of using our tax dollars to fund the necessary capacity those dollars have been squandered on pet ideological projects and to buy votes. This is where accountability needs to be demanded. One thing for sure, if nothing else, this impressive show of half a million Canadians convening on Ottawa is bound to give gvts pause when they contemplate future measures.

I don't know how much leaving the EU has affected your fuel prices. I live in Ireland and the price of fuel has increased almost 30% in the past 2 years or so. I drive a diesel car and about 2 years ago price was €1.15-ish per L and now its €1.65. Don't let your government use Brexit (which was your right as a nation) as an excuse.

@@jays7318 None of that is true though. The vaccine is as safe as any other vaccine you're required to get to attend school. mRNA vaccines are also not revolutionary at this point either. We've been developing the science for the better part of 100 years, and the COVID-19 vaccine is far from the first mRNA vaccine on the market. The research goes back to 1963 and the first vaccines were developed in 1993. Additionally, if your concern is in the use of mRNA, then you can take the Johnson & Johnson vaccine that uses a more traditional adenovirus delivery. There are multiple options here.

@@End3rWi99in It is all true. Vaccine testing normally goes through a 5+ year trial period before mass deployment. MRNA technology or not, these new vaccines have side effects. For example, my 19 year old relative was rushed to the hospital due to myocarditis from his first shot. Also, it is true the available vaccines are not effective. Israel, for example, has deployed 3rd and 4th boosters, yet they havd the greatest increase in cases. There are many more examples.
