This channel is about the outdoors. Not just about survival, fishing, hunting, trapping, or even bushcraft, but about the whole process of procuring resources, fish and game, wild edibles, and other materials necessary for sustenance - wilderness living. I do not practice ‘catch and release’ or even ‘sport fishing.’
I do not “harvest.” Rather, I catch and keep, and consume what I catch. However, I do not catch and keep more than I plan to consume.
I would much prefer utilizing nature on my own accord than to visit a supermarket and have that be sourced out to others (farmer and butchers). This gives me a much deeper respect for the flesh of animals, ‘meat’, than can be had through its nearest cousin, the sterilized plastic wrap and foam packaged variety sold in supermarket. #1027765
I don't know how he listens and responds to all of these miserable people in his comments! You're a good guy for handling all of this negativity so well.
Good to see you posting survival videos again love watching them i know your across the pond in Canada and im in uk but you give so much good information that is transferable keep up the good work and hope you lads channel kicks off if he does start it
any woodedbeardsman video with jeremy in it is always the best. i found this channel when jeremy and chris would do their survival challenges so its brings back nostalgic memories lol hope everyone checks our jeremys channel too, its not as in depth as this channel but still fun.
Now here is a question…Let’s just say you had to get out of town fast, like you said, what kind of fire would you really use so nobody would see it easily and what do you do to keep the smoke down? Smoke signal just scream “Come and get it!”
@TheWoodedBeardsman tarp has mass that takes up space the space was not In said pale and as such is disqualified by the rule of it must fit in the bucket, a mylar blacket could have and as such the tarp could be replaced with a what 1 inch cube.
Are you conducting bug out classes for a family that is very interested in learning this stuff. I would pay for my son and his kids and wife to learn the basics.
You have fire, you have Frying Pan,You have knife,You have water,You have pork fat...you have..... everything...than why you didn't cooked it as like as you and we do in home🤔????...This is not call survival at all 😂
I love your content. I watch every week. But to me, your 5 gallon challenge doesn't make any sense. Why just one 5 gallon bucket. If you are going to hide it in the woods why wouldn't you hide multiple encase some are found. Second, if it is a bug out situation you have 2 hands why not 2 buckets? Also why not also have a bug out ruck sac to go with it? Just a suggestion, why not go back to pure bushcraft where all you have is a knife and the cloths on your back, or extreme weather bushcraft? It is working for the outdoor boys channel and we would love to see you do that again.
@@TheWoodedBeardsman of course not. I was talking about the kind of content were he does extreme weather. And I dout he could survive with just a knife. But I would bet you could, in a semi controlled environment of course. No one wants you to get hurt, things can and often do go wrong.
@@davidparker536 He's pretty geared up, even for those. Wood stoves, hot tents, snowmobile, auger, al the tools, chainsaws, etc. I know people love minimal gear, but it also means minimal opportunity...just a guy in the woods suffering isn't super fun, and I don want my adventures to still be fun, and I want to still eat food.
@@TheWoodedBeardsman I understand, and I was just making suggestions. I loved a lot of your earlier content making shelters and bushcraft stuff. I enjoyed a lot of your contruction videos. The one where you used maggots to feed fish was genius. I would like to see more of that in the future. No reason you cannot have fun and be entertaining. If I had made it to where you are, I would not want to freeze my balls off staving in the woods either. I cannot help but think that it would make an awesome video though. You with your back against the wall what you would come up with. It would be pure gold. Just one man's opinion, take it for what it is worth to you. And thank you for taking the time to respond.
You never pop up on my feed anymore till just now. Gonna start getting back to making videos soon, if you're ever in the Ottawa Valley give me a shout.
Lol... thank you... I started doing this years ago... got over a dozen stashes hidden along a route to a safe zone... some in buckets, some in sealed pvc pipe... spaced about a days walk/hike apart... mentioned this idea a decade back and was scoffed at... stuck some of those mountain house meals in each one...
