The whole holocaust thing is or was accurate at the time this movie took place. I believe it was in 1992 to 1995 so the internet or pop media was not as popular or thing yet Another reason why they didnt know is most of them were under privileged kids where the teacher's didnt bother teaching them . Hence why ben the only white guy is the only one who knew. The school used to be a prestige "white" rich school until a integrated program was place. This is based on a true story. Its really sad the these kids had nasty views. Sad how Generational hate is still a thing. Love your reaction video btw !
I realised this movie was based around the late 90's during the end of the movie 😅 throughout the movie I thought the movie was based around 2007. That's why I made the pop media comment. I appreciate the comment ❤️
@@ewazz1500it makes it worse when you think about the whole "no child left behind" program/policy that was put in place in all schools in America. Which in theory sounds like a good idea but it was executed terribly. Most of the kids like this were failing their classes but teachers would pass them just enough that they make it to the next grade and then they struggle right before graduation. I was a victim of this policy in my early years (2nd grade) if my mom wouldn't have caught on to what was happening then I wouldn't have done well in school. They constantly told her I was doing well in school but was coming home with Ds and Fs. Which didn't make sense to her because I loved reading and learning and was extremely inquisitive (they were passing me because they liked me and I was a "sweet girl") , she made the teachers pay attention to me during class and it turns out I don't learn in the traditional way and I don't do tests well.

You have to remember as far as education is concerned, especially for this time period, most schools did not bother to educate people. Especially in communities of color where the system already viewed them as delinquents and not interested/worthy of education. A lot of people did not find out about the Holocaust until at least high school or college. And it is typically a very simple definition given, without any ability to explore/ask questions. Education in the US is all about your skin color and your monetary class

You were a little ignorant and kept repeatedly judging everyone especially the kids over and over , I don’t think you actually got the feel of the story itself. This is my opinion and what was interpreted to me by watching you.
I saw bad habits from the "kids" and called it out. Maybe you missed when I said I understand why people would behave like they did. But it's still no excuse
