This drone right here is the Freefly Alta X DIU (Defense Innovation Unit) Blue Package. Now available at Drone Made Easy! You can find this drone on the Blue UAS Cleared List, which is a routinely updated list of Department of Defense approved drones.
The Alta X has a takeoff weight of 45 lbs (20kg) without a payload and a max Gross Takeoff weight of 76 lbs (34kg). The payload is mounted on the drone via a vibration isolation system that can be customized quickly for different temperatures and camera payloads.
This drone features a foldable design that allows for easy transportation and storage. The batteries we are using are Tattu 12 cell 1600 mAh, these are strapped to the top of the drone with elastic bands for quick access when swapping batteries. The Alta X also comes with RTK GPS for improved location accuracy.
Alta ActiveBlade design reduces vibration to 1/5th of the normal level. Reducing vibration means lower fatigue on components and better footage when shooting. A Dynamic balancing process is done on every blade assembly to perfectly balance the propellers. There are also 2 rubber dampers allowing the blades to flap during cyclic loading and fast forward flight.
