This is a demonstration of the Drones Made Easy Map Pilot app for iOS.
Map Pilot has two phases: Planning and Flight.
Before taking off and going out to a site to map it, it can be useful to estimate the amount of data that will be recorded or the number of batteries that will be required to survey an area.
When the drone is unavailable or is just disconnected, you can estimate the location of the launch point by double tapping on the screen to draw a simulated launch point. All calculations for distances and durations will be based on this point. When the drone is connected, it will use the aircraft's current location for the planning.
Tap and hold to draw the survey area boundary markers. Tap to delete them. Tap and hold to move them around. Two finger rotation to change the heading of the mapping passes.
