You sir are a genius. Tried to push the sock thru with a fishing rod, and then tried to rinse it out with a water hose. Finally, I taped a screw to a straightened metal clothes hanger & it worked. Thank you.
This worked PERFECT!!! After trying sticks, the air compressor, the water hose and trying to take the handle apart... my last resort was RU-vid and I found this! Sock was out in a matter of seconds 👍👍👍
I was just about ready to spend a hundred Dollars on a replacement hose because I could not get the obstruction out but I decided that the last minute before purchasing online to see if there was a video out there and sure enough your video had the solution. I did not have a sock but there was so much debris it might as well have been a sock So I taped to screw on the end of a broom handle and it actually got the debris out. Thank you so very much you save me a lot of money today I app say that.
After nearly two hours of frustration and putting the vacuum away i thought id look on youtube, seen this and worked 1st time brilliant idea fella, thankyou very much!!!
This method is brilliant! Like all others, was having a heck of a time trying to get the hose unblocked, saw your video and voila! Works, thanks for posting
Like everyone else I usually just reverse the hose or use a stick. I got the handle screws out but I didn't want to break the fragile plastic ring. Your method works wonderfully so I thank you, good sir.
I dismantled my shark vacuum head it was tricky but managed to get it all apart. I used a screw like you didn’t the end of a screw driver and bingo! Thank you so much! Saved me buying a new hose as I was about to give up on it!
You are a genius…….. it worked, that method removed pair of knickers that were clogging up the tube. Thank you so much. My husband says you are a genius. It’s the screw idea that made it.👍👏👏👏
This was perfect man. I stuck some all thread in the hose to try this but attaching the screw was the key. I ended up needing to hold the hose in the air and let gravity help some too. You are a genius.
Genius!!!!!! Thank you!!! I needed this😊 first time. Screw stayed in with the sock. Laughed my gut off. Second time, used electrical tape to hold the screw then a little gorilla glue duct tape to hold the screw on the rod. Came out like a champ!!!!
Brilliant idea,. I first tried with the bent end of a coat hanger, but it kept straightening out. Your idea worked first go, although I used a 5/16th drill bit. My mind's boggling at how useful this will be for all kinds of jammed up stuff.
Had this problem myself your little invention help me get out a stuck pair of nickers from the hose after I have been trying for 2 hours with various other Things lol thank you
Just wanted to let you know that your video just helped me out! I was trying to get that damn sock out for weeks now. Nothing worked until I saw this video! Then the sock was out in less than a minute! Thanks for your help
One of the best MF YT videos out there. THANK YOU! Why TF would Shark make that like that? Spent 1hr+ trying to get my daughter's sock out... Took me less than a minute with this life hack! Thank you! 🙌🏾
Bloody genius mate… i was getting some right stick after the mrs hoovered up one of my socks… it was my fault apparently haha … anyway you saved the day, thanks for the genius idea!!
I used a 15 inch 10mm drill bill in a cordless drill on slow.... started to tighten up and pulled the drill out slowly... your vid gave me the idea, struggled for an hour... did it in 5 seconds in the end...
Wow, was going at it with a stick and everything i though off, watched this video and went out a lnd cut my neighbors bicycle break wire and that worked perfectly. Got it out in less then 2 minutes with that gettho fix :)
Legend! I tried chopsticks, broom handle, curtain pole. Curtain pole worked best so found a nail in the shed and taped it on. Worked a treat. No sock though, mine was just dog hair... it got wedged in by a small piece of card and a twig!
this worked perfectly. I tried absolutely everything and thought I was going to have to cut the hose open and then tape it. The sock was so wedged it would not move even a tiny bit. I tried a coat hanger with a hook on the end, managed to hook the sock but when I tried pulling it out it pulled through the sock and poked through the hose 😖 I duct-taped a screw to the end of the wire hanger, pushed down while twisting it a few times once i felt it hit the sock, and pulled it out with ease
Have the pink Henrietta hoover, tried it with sweeping brush but pipe was too long so called to a neighbour, he had wire out the back and that worked. Thanks though for your idea🙏🏻
Thank you thank you! My sister said to try a broom stick, when calling her to see if she had a wire hanger (for the hanger idea) but I already tried a dowel and that made it worse. The screw taped to the end of the broomstick worked. Had to try a few times, my sock was really stuck tight, from trying to get it out other ways. I didn't ruin my sock either. Appreciate you getting right to the point too.
@bakedbean THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your brilliant mind... You were the 5th and final video i watched, and i fibally got this stupid sucker out... If not for your..."TAPED SCREW" I was the one screwed!!! Thank you!!!
It's insane how these incidents can turn us into a McGyver! On that note, have you ever considered a career in multi-level marketing? I can see a Seen It On TV commercial with this in the near future!
Don’t know if you will see this but my shark is blocked with allsorts at the bend. I need to make something like what you have done. What is it exactly that you used as I don’t have anything long enough.
