The tax is a failed approach. Tax is collected to make the environment better, to make Canadians switch to alleged greener options. As of right now none of those things are happening, Why? because Canadians are living pay check to pay check. Our pocket books suck, and the options are expensive. The person who should identify this issue is the countries fiancé minister. But In Canada we have an out of touch glorified journalist running the countries fiancés. I like POILIEVRE's approach to environmentalism: His alternative is to use the myriad of natural resources that Canada stores (oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear, hydro) and build technology so that these leave as little non-reusable waste residue as possible. It's an intelligent and economical way to make everyone win, from the energy sector, to the customer who saves money, to our environment. TAXES will not SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT!!
