I’m looking at buying a freelander so I’m not sure what functionality it normally has. Do you loose anything by removing the factory nav? I know on other Land Rovers there is some sort of off road displays etc. What about trip computers etc? Thanks for such an informative video!

Hi mate great video, I'm in desperate need of that loom you show in ur video, is there a part number on it at all? I got hold of an xtron second and its missing that loom which is the only one I need!😂😂

Just placed it loosely under the centre speaker grille. Works fine.

Not a chance. That would mean undoing everything just to film it. The route I took was: Into the dashboard, round behind the steering column, under the carpet to the rear of the car, up inside the trim of the D-pillar, in the roof lining to the boots electrical grommet, into the boot beneath the trim and to the number plate light.

It’s a long old way… I went into the dashboard, round behind the steering column, under the carpet to the rear of the car, up inside the trim of the D-pillar, in the roof lining to the boots electrical grommet, into the boot beneath the trim and to the number plate light.

So the xtron android 9.0 is still compatible with the iphone which then loads the applecar play or do we need to buy the apple versions?

My unit has Android 10, and needed an external CarPlay dongle. Not sure about Android 9. I don’t like Android so have avoided it until this Xtrons install.

About an hour. Mainly just because I had to extend the cable that came with it, so it involved a bit of soldering, and tapping into the reverse light for power.

Thank you for your video. I fitted an Xtrons - it works very well. However, I'm now trying to connect an Xtrons reversing camera and can't get an image. The camera lights power on, but the screen shows a yellow triangle and black explanation mark. Did you have any probs with this?

Fixed - it was a faulty camera.

@@mikes9342 I’ve had the same issue with a ‘no plate light Rev cam’ that o fitted today. Camera image displays when put into reverse gear. But yellow triangle and exclamation mark displays once taken out of reverse and doesn’t return to car play. My initial thought was thinking Was incorrect installation. But for how little cameras cost I might try another.
