I am just copy pasting my comment because this is really important and I would really appreciate if you boosted this information somehow. Look she may have had cancer, but gerson therapy is ACTUALLY A SCAM. That’s why her cancer treatment was so expensive. And why she could not get treated, why they kicked her out bc she did not have the money. They do this “treatment” in Mexico because it is illegal in the US. Idk if she had also done real treatment and it was deemed a lost cause, but it’s very unlikely. Gerson tells patients to stop their real treatments. No matter how much money she got, she would not have lived doing gerson therapy, and while I’m not blaming her (she’s the primary scam victim clearly) it does suck that anyones hard earned money went to the quacks who killed her by convincing her not to get real treatment. Harley was kind of right, but for the wrong reasons. He definitely played no part in her death, because she was not getting real treatment. While I don’t blame her either, no money should have been going to gerson therapy. She should have been seeing real doctors who possibly could’ve saved her (women her age diagnosed with breast cancer usually survive at least 5 years when they get real treatment). While the US healthcare system sucks and many people do need to crowdfund for treatment, they will not refuse you lifesaving care entirely usually (tho u may go into debt). Also, gerson is FAR more expensive than any actual cancer treatment. The gerson scammers took hundreds of thousands and killed her. That is what they do. Google gerson therapy for more info on this. FYI from an expert in diagnostic science and therapy doing DEI, conflict resolution, and anti-assault work. Psychosocially "touch" is the boundary between any assault versus harrassment. Unwanted kissing is assault, and can be as profound as any other form of sexual assault or assault. The immediate psychological consequences of an assault are not in control of the person who was victimised. The law may vary, but the way therapists deal with it does not and that's what matters. If you have assaulted someone, admit it, take steps, like finding a therapist to correct your life and to make amends for your behaviour. You have a duty to humanity to, your friends, and family. It is most important to respect the wishes of the person you assaulted, nothing you feel can ever be more important than their feelings again if you wish to heal yourself, if you wish a happier life even just for you. If you have been assaulted, consider that you have many options, perhaps sitting down with an emotionally developed close friend who listens can help you figure out what you want to do. Options can range from, socially marking the person who assaulted you with a formal complaint to their place of business, protest, or anonymous chalk-graffiti on the sidewalk of a home of a repeat offender - to involving law enforcement or civil court. The law is not an option for everyone or everywhere, can be even more dangerous in some cases due to counter-cases and public record of complaining. Anonymous action is sometimes best due to legal risks and the risk of further violence, but this requires extreme care and consideration. Take care of yourself first though. Especially seek therapeutic help if you don't have friends that can provide you with lots of different advice and support. If you have nowhere else to go, find a shelter, make sure they expressly welcome trans people as this is generally a litmus for the kind of therapy they will offer (transphobic spaces teach internalisation of fear and tolerate the development of fear into bigotry, which generally creates more long-term stress). There are numerous "sexual assault hotlines" that can be contacted as well, for crises support. As queer and specifically trans people are the most common targets of assaults, search for specific services as general hotlins do not always have queer competencies. Hang in there

Jennifer Fausili had to raise funds to treat her cancer at a holistic center in Tijuana Mexico. In the United States she would have been treated for cancer first at a hospital and deal with medical bills later. She wanted holistic treatment which doesn’t cure cancer, only makes one feel better. When Jennifer arrived at the clinic in Tijuana, Mexico with Dr Rogers her cancer was already way too advanced. The doctor pretty much scammed her out of her money. The Durian guy is evil and what he said about Jennifer was absolutely heartless. But Jenn’s condition was hopeless by the time she posted the video showing her breast. She refused treatment in lieu of holistic treatment. Left her breasts and cancer invade her

Her cancer therapy wasn’t legit chemo or mastectomy , it was gerson therapy. Gerson therapy is illegal in the us, why the center was in Mexico, because people charge cancer patients thousands for juice meals and coffee enemas. I implore you to look into gerson therapy more to fully understand how the gerson family preys on the already sick and vulnerable and blames them for their own deaths. This doesn’t make Harley in the right, he created this anti-science and anti-medicine sentiment in the vegan community that would lead someone like Jen to Perdue gerson over chemo. Also him denying her cancer diagnosis was disgusting . The only ethical thing for he could have done speaking about her situation was convince her to seek real medical treatment. DR is definitely insane. He got upset at my Facebook comment once and then proceeded to stalk my partner, family and employers. My comment was in defense of a woman he was insulting and disparaging with tons of nasty, misogynistic statements. He left negative reviews on my employers’ pages on Google and FB which are still there to this day and I almost got fired. He thrives off psychological torture. Stay away from him at all costs.

He thought she was a scammer at the time, didn't mention her name in any video and deleted the videos shortly after they were made. I almost cried listening to this, she was begging for her life! Cancer is very expensive to treat and it was not easy to get insurance to cover ( so I’ve heard). I remember this, I back then watched the video fo Jen Journey, and while she was still alive. I haven't finished watching this video here, but I remember that she really stuck in my mind as an example of someone who should not put themselves on the internet. After she had seen her mother go through breast cancer she didn't want to do chemo and just let the cancer grow and put all her faith in the vegan diet, and I just remember that she made many videos where she thought she got better, but ultimately she was walking towards death's door and she asked for donations. I didn't donate because I didn't agree with the cancer treatment and feared that donating to that company would lead to more advertising on that company, which would probably cause more people to take this path that was riddled with misinformation. Like, I'm sorry but you don't overcome cancer with a raw vegan diet, and if I was going to invest in that, it'd be in s cancer treatment I have a bit more faith in, but in that case there sre thousands of people dying daily due to cancer that don't get treatment and I'm not investing there either, so I eventually accepted that Jen's updates to me are just videos of her walking towards death...and I just think this should not be on youtube, this was like watching someone's suicide.

I knew a girl who dated Durian Rider right after he broke up with Freelee, she was in remission for her ED and went backwards as soon as they were together and he distanced her from her friends and family and treated her like a second class citizen. He is a textbook narcissist.

Freelee has always been an abuse enabler. A few years ago during her "makeup is evil and no woman should wear it" phase, a follower commented on one of her posts that her husband refused to let her wear makeup, would shame her and verbally abuse her if she did. And Freelee responded, saying "This man truly LOVES you! He's a good man! Keep him!" It was pretty disgusting.
A close family member of mine has alopecia and she doesn’t even wear wigs just pretty scarves but she has no lashes and no brows so she loves her eyeliner and brow pencil. I recently came across one of Freelee’s new channel videos where she was talking about Abbey Sharp. One of the comments asked Freelee “please help. How can I help my body to clear HPV and abnormal cervical cells”. Her response? “Get on the frugivore diet asap and stay away from the medical cult testing.” Dear god, NO. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS WOMAN! She has no business advising her followers on how to deal with medical illnesses! @@oceana3070 Yep, then there's Candice-Marie Fox, who was featured on the channel of a travel vlogger I used to follow (who, funnily, claims Freelee inspired her to go vegan), in an interview at Rythmia Center in Costa Rica (an ayahuasca retreat where Candice works). It was very upsetting to see Candice platformed by this RU-vidr because Candice claims she cured her cancer (late stage thyroid cancer) by eating vegan, especially pineapple. There are some people who have debunked her claims and it just frustrates me as someone with a history of cancer in the family. I posted my original comment before I got to the part about Jen, and it was really hard to listen to her pleas to be taken seriously. I didn't know that Freelee and DR had done this, and it makes me despise them even more.

It sucks how much of one's time as a vegan has to be spent reassuring non-vegans that you're not like those judgmental crazy vegans. Granted, a good bit of that is due to misinformation and stereotypes in the culture, but those stereotypes get traction due to the crazy vegans, the raw vegans, the vegans who try to impose their choices and judgments on others instead of building and popularizing a beneficial culture. I should add "hypocritical vegans." I heard there's a whole series for catching self-righteous vegans break their own rules. I mean, maybe it would be better to be more reasonable and accepting of people? So fed up. I'm sticking to the motto from AA: "Perfectionism is a character flaw." (Still happily vegan despite all that.)

According to some of his defenders, she was going for Gerson-therapy, which wouldn't have helped her anyway (True. It's quackery). However, I just don't get how they don't understand that if this guy had actually wanted to help her, maybe he would have told her: "Please, please, please don't waste your money on that!" Instead of calling her a scammer and a drug-addict and saying she just didn't have the right mindset and 'emergy' to survive. Her cancer was well beyond terminal but the treatment made her happy and comfortable and it was her decision. It was none of their business how Jenn spent her money. She wasn't scamming anyone.

i find it weird too, since vegans tend to point to overconsumption of humans rather than an overpopulation of humans. as a vegan myself, i think if everyone could take their fair share and give back to our earth we wouldn’t have all these global threats. so it’s just about changing peoples attitudes towards their level of consumption. i just don’t see how it’s productive to say having children is morally wrong.

I am studying towards a doctorate in conservation biology. I spend a lot of time studying climate change. Over-population is a huge problem, but especially in areas where the consumption is out of control. Cuba for instance, is sustainable, yet people have a high standard of living. Cubans don't need to stop breeding. Elon Musk, with his ten kids he has little to do with, is a perfect example of what we are talking about. It might offend you, but it is reverse classism. We need less rich people excessively breeding specifically.

DurianRider is a joke in the cycling community. Mostly because he entered the Indian Pacific Wheel Race (IndiPac) in 2017 and boasted endlessly online about how well he was going to do, expecting a top 10 placement. He turned up on a steel bike, with panniers and tinned food then lasted less than 24 hours before bailing! Both Dr & Freelee are just plain ordinary grifters: they've found their niche and will rinse people of money for as long as people buy into their bullshit.
I remember when they came to a vegan festival in Los Angeles I used to volunteer for. I spoke out against them being at the festival on public forums (bringing up his victim blaming on to abuse survivors) and naturally Durian wanted to argue with me over it, and eventually threatened me with having his friends beat me up. I made these threats public and he was removed from the ads. It’s really a shame that they even got invited as a whole, and years later when they both accused each of abuse with each other. I have been haunted by what happened with Jen for years. Seeing what it looked like when her cancer spread and what was said about her. It makes me feel sick when I think about it.
There are many of us who saw her original videos and can't ever forget it. Including her bf at the time, we're all still haunted by the loss of a beautiful human being and contributions of Harley & Freelee.
The worst part of when Jennifer is explaining her situation with her health and the cancer, she’s not actually crying properly, not because she’s faking, but most likely because the motions and movements that happen when crying out would be too painful. If breathing is painful, which I can imagine it must be with where the cancer is located, it’d be agony to cry. That’s actually horrendous to imagine. The only emotional relief she might be able to have is too painful to do 😢

I really do wonder how Julia is doing these days. She was a teenage girl, she was incredibly susceptible to what DR and FR were selling. Even her getting defensive, you can’t really blame her, she was only 16. I hope she’s okay and learned from everything.
As per wikipedia (last updated in 2020), she is still alive and should be a 23-year-old now. She was a recovering anorexic at the time of getting brainwashed by DR and Freelee, and was basically living of some white rice and a drop of jam everyday and making videos about her thousand calorie oatmeal. Several youtubers were also body shaming her for her weight gain, often as part of their criticism of DR and Freelee, who were in their own right telling her not to listen to neither the haters nor her doctors and just focus on their diet instead. She eventually stopped posting to youtube in 2016 I think, shortly after going to the fruit festival in Thailand. Some people assume the body shaming got too much and some assume she realized how dangerous her eating habits were and got to properly recover away from the public eye.
@@wrongorange and that is why she gained so much weight - she was anorexic and had an eating disorder. Her metabolism was shot. The body was not used to having so much food fed to it and it got stored as fat. Had she continued cycling and followed durianriders advice of keeping the carbs low, she would have eventually lost all the weight. Even people who get treated by medical professionals for an eating disorder see weight gain as they start eating again.
Jen must have been so physically and emotionally drained even before she started recieving help. I can't imagine how horrible it was having to spend what little energy she had at the time prooving she was sick, more than she already had. Even from those short clips I can tell she was stronger than Harley will ever be. Strong people don't have to tear down cancer patients to feel big.
Jen’s story is heartbreaking. There is no redemption for those who contributed to the smear campaign she was subjected to in her last days. Rest In Peace Darling Girl.
@@midgematic8659 While this is absolutely tragic and awful and Harley was absolutely horrific to Jen, I read some comments here and watched a lot of videos on her channel and Jen had decided to not do chemo and instead to do a very expensive unregulated alternative medicine called gerson - if you watch the full video with the doctor called 'Dr. Dan Rogers' Update on Jen Journey, Feb 24, 2016' you can hear what the 'treatments' entail. While it's awful and tragic, these donations were just lining the pockets of this for profit centre and would not have saved her life. It's these centres and 'doctors', and those without medical knowledge that promote it that are the real problem.
@@meggy0 I agree. I was watching Jen and DR all during that time, and while I felt awful for Jen and I hate DR and am NOT standing up for him at all, she was bound to go sooner than later. She probably didn't have long even with Gerson therapy. Unfortunately she made the decision to forego chemotherapy for a very curable cancer and didn't take care of it, then went an all natural way and let it progress far too much. I believe she could have stayed alive a few months longer, but we know that therapy wouldn't have put her in remission and saved her life. It was mostly Jen's decisions to not do conventional treatment for cancer that ended up killing her, but it was an unbelievably fucking scummy thing for DR to tell people to not help her and that she was faking it. Just leave her alone and let people help her if they want to.
I was a former 30BAD member waaay back in the day. I remember people in that forum telling people with cancer not to seek chemo treatment and just eat more fruit :/ I wish that these two just kept cycling together and loving fruit and leaving other people alone.

Durianrider told her to divorce him immediately I also posted abour 30bad to the rick ross cult forum back in 2012 or whatever. Should still be out there somewhere. If you ever know anyone who lost their life to cancer. This is heartbreaking. My wife died from cancer the trial drug that my wife was on was the same drug that put my mom into remission a decade later. Cancer is a horrible disease.
You would have been handing it directly to scam artists, unfortunately. Gerson Therapy is a complete scam practiced by vultures who prey upon the sick and dying with nonsense juice cleanses and coffee enemas. The whole situation was heartbreaking all around.
I was a vegan creator at this time. Granted I didn’t have many subscribers but we all knew each other and things were so toxic. Whilst there were so many allegations against them they continued to tell people they were fake vegans. This community was the most toxic community I was a part of and led me to stop creating in the end. The body shaming, harassment, stalking, doxing etc. was horrendous. I know DR would hit on any slim attractive vegan woman particularly if she cycled as well. A friend of mine was personally approached by him. He definitely used the power imbalance to take advantage. You featured a creator named (at the time) Vegan Cheetah who was another toxic and predatory creator making fun of EDs and sexualising women. I was personally attacked by his sexual comments and derogatory attacks. There were so many poor characters in the community. The list is endless.

Freelee was one of the reasons I suffered so badly with my ED and didn’t understand why I wasn’t as skinny as her. I’m glad I’m recovered now and able to watch this it’s like taking a deep breath and understanding what happened to them and realising now I’m grown the disgusting things they perpetuated.

This guy is clearly terrified of his own mortality. That's what his whole "positive mentality" nonsense is about -- he likes to imagine he has found some magical secret spell to somehow immunize himself from the inescapable vulnerability that comes with having a human body. His hostility towards people who are sick, dead, or even just slightly overweight is projected fear and self-loathing. This is also likely part of his obsession with young girls. It's like people who are afraid of failure having an insane hostility towards the poor. They refuse to accept it could happen to them. So they have to malign homeless people as lazy weak leeches -- fundamentally flawed in some way they are not. He's an old man who is getting older every day, closer to his own death every day, and it TERRIFIES HIM.
He didn't cause her death but he definitely caused her a lot of stress and unhappiness in her darkest hour. I guess you could say he contributed to it. He crossed a major line and karma is coming for him.
I will add that Jen was not seeking actual medical treatment. Gerson therapy has not been proven to actually work or improve the outcome for cancer patients. Like both Freelee and Durianrider are terrible, but Jen's death isn't really their fault.

Hearing josies story hit me like a ton of bricks. I've been in the exact same situation with a guy and it's been eating at me for months now and I just assumed that it was me in the wrong for letting it happen.

I'm seeing people saying that the reason she had to ask for money is because she was rejecting standard care for pseudo-scientific treatments. I do not know if it is true, (I had some difficulty trying to find very much information at all)but if it is then Cid leaving context out s terrible in its own right.
She wanted to go for something called Gerson therapy, some “holistic” therapy. That is not covered by Medicaid in the US. Steve Jobs tried something similar for his pancreatic cancer which could have been treated early. He regretted it on his death bed. It is very sad. This guy thinking that he is entitled to see a non relative death certificate is disgusting.
It caught me off guard and broke my heart hearing she passed away not long after not being able to receive the 1000$. I hoped that she at least made it through, but what irks me the most is how DR sabotaged her funraiser and even took it upon himself to mock her after her death. I’ve seen some pretty horrible people on the internet before, but I’ve never seen such and evil piece of 💩like this before. I hope she’s resting in peace, despite the extra pain he placed on her in her last chance to fight for her life.
The fear, anguish and frustration in Jen’s voice was so genuine and profound. Even the way her skin was sinking in her face made it evident that she was very ill… this is so, so sad. May God watch over her and bring her rest and peace.
Jen deserved so much better. Fucking despicable that healthcare is not a right. 40,000 people die a year here in the US because of a lack of insurance. Good video, Harley especially is one of the most off-putting and manipulative people I have seen on RU-vid. He said that on his most recent trip to trespass on Freelee's property, he went to Queensland with his current girlfriend and she just sat with her laptop in a park while he went to harass Freelee. Huge scumbag energy in everything he does, especially the way he interacts with young women.
I feel so terrible for the woman with cancer... how the hell do you look at that first video and say "yep, she's faking???" That video... It was completely heartbreaking. God damn it. It's pretty clear that this Harley dude can't really recognize true emotions because he's never had any of his own, the impotent psychopath.
Freelee was one of the people I used to watch growing up and starting my veggie and later vegan journey. I now know I had an ED back then and people like freelee really fuelled that with their 100% or nothing mindset cause it felt like with every accidental misstep with the vegan diet meant I wasn’t a proper vegan anymore and that I had to eat just like them even though that wasn’t possible cause 1, I don’t live in a tropical country that has access to local fruits all year round and 2, its massively unhealthy. I am glad so many people switched their mindset and now it’s ok not to be perfect as long as you try your best. By all means I am not a perfect vegan and I still try to heal from my ED some days but now I don’t feel like a shitty human just cause I accidentally had food with milk or whatever in it.
Absolutely, vegan is all about doing your best and not about being perfect. I've been vegan for animals for 18 years along with many activist friends and we've all been accidentally given or bought by mistake non-vegan things - its unavoidable and some of us still eat the product as that's better than wasting it. (meat not so much as personally I just couldn't) When you're in recovery from ED its even important to not feel bad about any food- whatever reason you went vegan, be it the animals, planet or your health - you have to be in a good place mentally and have a healthy relationship with food before anything else. A couple months back a teacher at a pottery course I was at put milk in my tea when I'd asked for black tea and I still drank it because it would have been wasted - things like that happen and its fine. So please take care of you and do whats best for your recovery ❤

Omg, I used to be a devoted follower in my teens : I felt so stupid because I kept gaining weight on Rawtill4 also my triglycerides went through the roof! I stopped watching because it just wasn't working for me. But now that I look back on this, they were so toxic and had this negative energy about them.

There was a video from the height of their era, where Harley told people on centrelink that if they can't afford to go on a fruit based trip to Thailand, they should just go homeless for a while so they won't have to pay rent or bills, and hoard all the money..

I recently watched "the thing about pam", a series about a murderer. She has an "I love dogs" bumper sticker on her car. When I saw Harley with his "Go Vegan!" cap, it reminded me of the murderer in the series. It is said, that narcissists wear a mask. They trie to copy other peoples behaviour. It is as if Harley was trying almost desperately to convince others, that he is harmless, because he is vegan.
