Okay, I'm one of these fans(I say fans because while this may come as a shock, not every fan has to be a girl), and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little offended by this! Do you really think their acting has no influence on their hotness? Take Benedict Cumberbatch; he's not stereotypically good looking(not that that's a bad thing), but when we saw him play the part of Sherlock with all his presence, passion, and genius, he was without a doubt attractive. I don't know what fans you've encountered, but if a large number of people only care about an actor for their looks, then they must not be a very good actor.

If Benedict wasn't the very best Sherlock ever....he wouldn't be so dang drool worthy. He plays that role soooo good. He's an amazing actor. If he was horrible he WOULD NOT be as sexy because bad acting is just a huge turn off. The way he played Khan...omg are you kidding me!? PERFECTION. His acting ability IS WHY he's so attractive. Us "fangirls" know this and aren't saying otherwise. It is never just about looks when it comes to proper fangirling!

If you didn't already know, you two will love a British series called Being Human, 'Kili' plays a vampire. Not normally a series I'd watch but it sort of sucked me in. Did you see what I did there? I'll get my coat.

affalaffaa SAME! After seeing the second movie I was on such a high that I needed a fix of the cast so I started watching that. I HATE vampires and that stuff but I watched the entire show! After the third movie I recently watched Jekyll with James Nesbitt (Bofur) and that was amazing! I highly recommend it! James is younger and pretty hot! XD

Don't get me wrong, I adore Aidan, but I don't see why she couldn't be referring to ALL of them. I mean, everybody has their own taste in men and she could easily be referring to the older guys, too. Just saying.

No, Evangeline is great, and, Peter thought that she belonged, this is his version of the story, not yours.

The Hobbit book was obviously directed at kids. I thought it was really boring to read so I was surprised that they turned out to make such an awesome, strong, epic looking trilogy out of that childish book. Tauriel was a great addition in a series that really needed this type of women. But to each their own. Hating Evangeline Lilly makes no sense at all. She was hired to act and just did her job. Hate the writer(s) for changing it but the actor? That is just you being a weird little fanboy.

Dare - wait for it - Devil 100% agreed. When people say they wish the films had been exactly like the book I have to assume they haven’t read it since they were children because the resulting movie would’ve been a very loud and rather shallow kids movie. Tolkien’s storytelling is what makes the Hobbit endure in charm for adults but just as one example is the scene where Thorin finds out about Bilbos betrayal - in the book it’s literally comedic and silly. And because Tolkien was developing his universe as he went, we get so little development of each of these characters that would’ve made for such a strange movie experience. Imagine even just one movie where the most you learn about Thorin is that he’s got mood swings lol. The Hobbit text and the LOTR text cannot be compared when it comes to adapting for cinema. LOTR had far too much content and needed drastic rework and editing just to fit even three films. The Hobbit movie couldn’t do the book thing of having Bilbo knocked out for the entire battle only to wake up and we see everyone we love dead or grieving, so letting the writers expand the text with their existing knowledge and passion for Tolkien produced a great result and the movies box office success proves it even if some folks wanted to hate it for not being literal.

It's probably true in the whole of it. If Benedict wasn't famous at all, he wouldn't get all the female attention. That's what fame does.

Battle Axe Films It is true, in a way, but at the same time, I find his voice, his eyes, his whole presence, to be extremely attractive. I don't know if it's the fame - but if I had met him on the street, I would still think he's charming.. but then again, that's just me.
