You keep saying the Freemasons in Ireland were British, no they weren't, the vast majority of masons in Ireland will have been Irish born, in fact it was five lodges of mostly Irish born, working class, masons coming over to work in England that set up the Antients Grand Lodge in London and that was in 1751.

There are members of the Mexican Mafia and friends, associates, and family members of the Mexican Mafia who have no criminal record, and are working class anchors and citizens who over time have joined the Freemasons. Very, very interesting, I know next to nothing about Irish Masonry. I'm from New Orleans, from one of the very few lodges in the English-speaking world that uses the SR versions of the Craft Degrees. Unless I'm misunderstanding, it seems that in Ireland, one goes from HRA to the 18th Degree of the SR/Rose-Croix? That is absolutely fascinating. In the US, those two are part of different rites (HRA is York Rite, 18th is Scottish Rite). I wasn't clear though on whether there are degrees between HRA and RC. Anyway, really interesting tour and tour guide, he's obviously a very knowledgeable Brother.

No the word Freemason comes from the words Freestone mason, freestone is a very fine grained stone used extensively for ornamental carving, the two terms are used interchangeably in the building documents of Wadham college from the 1600s nearly a century before the formal foundation of modern speculative masonry.

The bodies by now are probably in charnal houses, after a grave has been around long enough for those that might have known the deceased have themselves died the grave is often dug up and the bones laid to rest in crypt specifically for these long dead remains, a case of limited space. Some grave stones get moved to the edges of the cemetery along the walls, those that are badly degraded are disposed of, some may have not had gravestones seeing as it was a time when money was needed for food.

No, I'm talking about bodies being moved maybe a hundred years later because they need the space in the cemetery to bury the current dead. It's been a common practice throughout Europe for centuries. As for victims of the holocaust, firstly most of the bodies were incinerated, secondly the graves of those who weren't were set up in perpetua due to the way they were killed and in special cemetery.

Go on then, cite the links between the KKK and Freemasonry, actually, I'll save you some time, Nathan Bedford Forrest, the founder was initiated, attended that single meeting and never came back (under his Grand Lodge rules of that time he isn't even counted as a mason, the rule then was that to be counted you had to have all three degrees).

Of course there's going to be lodge buildings across Ireland, where are Irish masons supposed to meet otherwise? The Grand Lodge of Ireland has been in existence since 1725 (and maybe a few years earlier, that's just when the first written evidence can be found) so it's unsurprising masonic buildings would have been around during the famine, masons had been in Ireland since long before it happened.

From your last comment it seems you've made up your mind, that it doesn't matter the absence of evidence or evidence against what you think. Because as far as you're concerned because since you think it's so that makes it so. Here's the basic fact, Freemasonry is secular and apolitical, neither religion (beyond expecting each member to have a faith) or politics is allowed to be discussed. Trying to bring either into masonry will get a mason thrown out, those are the rules.

As for a coup d'état, if no one knows, how do you? Do you truly think yourself so superior in intelligence that you'd connect the dots where no one else had? In the scientific community we have a term called cherry picking, that's where rather than take all the evidence, someone just takes the bits that suit their hypothesis and ignore the rest, that's what the vast majority of conspiracy theories are based on, decide the answer and then look for support, ignoring any other rational explanation.

Actually there will be data from masons of that era, the lodge minutes such as have survived, if the Grand Lodge of Ireland is anything like the United Grand Lodge of England those records they do have in the Grand Lodge records will be in their archives and able to be viewed by researchers. Individual lodges may retain some of their minute books going back to that era.

As for the building's placement, well, the Pope in his infinite wisdom had decided that for a Catholic to join the masonic lodge was automatic excommunication, so not much point putting up a new lodge building near a Catholic church. Now for their affiliation with the law, all masons are instructed to be a peaceable citizen and to obey the law. So unless you favour revolution in the streets and a return to bloodshed I'd say that being a peaceable citizen is a good thing. Well you could try the Grand Lodge of Ireland in Dublin, they do guided tours, have a museum and reference library, should have the information you want, if you explain the sort of precise information you're after they'll probably be able to point you to the right sort of books. With all due respect, there's plenty of history of every nation which had an involvement in the Americas involving slavery, so trying to single out masons there is a red herring.

Probably not, paperwork doesn't tend to survive very well, all you need is a leaking pipe or a fire and there goes the paperwork. You claim all Irish masons came from England, but that's simply not true, lodges would not have survived if the only members were immigrants, and today plenty of those born on both sides of the Irish border join. It is also untrue to say that Irish masons never suffered, part of the reason many joined was so that in times of need they would be helped.
