100% agreed. This is the 4th waxed jacket I purchased, the first 3 being the famous Flint & Tinder. Loved the F&T's for the look, but they were so restrictive! Enter, Freenote. I bought the jacket in person and was so shocked at how much range of motion there is. Sure, it's expensive, but whatever, it's the RIGHT waxed jacket.

Love mine. I have the tobacco and oak color ways. I. 6’2, 175lbs and I went with XL so I could layer. They are a perfect fit and the shoulder gussets are amazing. Great review!
How do the sleeves feel around the wrist? I bought a shirt from Freenote and I was surprised how much the sleeves tapered to the wrist. Loved the shirt but couldn't wear it with sleeves button comfortably. I noticed some Freenote shirt reviews citing the same issue.
@@SummerlinW no problem at all with the Riders jackets. I’m a watch guy and I can wear a thick chunky watch under this cuff no problem. I know what you mean … I had to return a Utility shirt because the cuffs were too tight. Apparently they’ve widened them now.
@@SummerlinW the cuffs are great for me but my wrist is only 6 and 5/8” … I find it feels fairly typical for a jacket cuff but my smaller wrists might not notice the difference sorry!

Thinking about buying one myself because Kayce Dutton from Yellowstone😂 I wear a size small in FILSON short lined tin cloth cruiser, and size xs in other Filson clothing, don’t know what size should I go for this freenote rider jacket, any suggestion? I’m about 5’8 tall and weight 138 pounds!
Another friend of mine that has this jacket got it because of Yellowstone too! In terms of sizing I’d hate to steer ya wrong but unfortunately they don’t offer an xs so hopefully the small will work!
I have both the Filson SLC and the Freenote Cloth Riders jacket. Both are size large for me. The Filson is a bit larger but not by much. The Freenote feels and looks more tailored for me. So that being said, I would buy the same size as your Filson Jacket and expect it to fit you a little closer, if that makes sense
