! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Magnet system is good but during hiking activity I incidentally dropped one of the lens. Now my set of magnetic VNDs capability dropped to 50%. I have tried to find separate lens on the market but not successful. Full set of MVNDS costs 400$. Guys take in to consideration this Info. Now I preferer to use threaded VNDs only ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I already had the Freewell ND mist 1/8 2-5,5-9 but ordered the VND set and just watched this , and to my supra they sent me the new version. Now I know how lucky I am. Thanks for the excellent and compelling explanation!

hmm)) give me your advice i am looking to take this system but i am choosing between Freewell Mist 1/4 filter and 2-5, 6-9 separate, and can they be combined, didnt find information about this, can i combine previous separate magnetic filters between? And can i use a base lets say Tiffen Black Pro Mist 1/4 on lens, and Magnetic 82mm under it or CPL would it work? or better to take this set only? i think Glow in this set is too harsh... compared to 1/4 separated Thank you in advance

VU!! You saved us! I got my magnetic filters last week after jumping right in on the campaign. I was down about the mist filter being too strong from your tests but now I can’t wait to bust them out and shoot!

Dude.... I'm so thankful for your two videos about this filter set... Honestly I talked to the freewell customer care because I thought there was something wrong with my mist vnd... Just saw all the vids from the "bigger channels" where the mist effect was as visible as on your first vid. Actually freewell customer care sent me the link to this vid and I'm so glad you mentioned that it is a way too strong effect. I've used it today at a sunset in a local area here in the northwest of Germany. Love the look without the flair.... Keep it up with your vids ✌🏻 Best greetings from Germany

@@nVuFilms Thanks for telling Freewell about the mist man. I have been mucking around with it all day and you were bang on. I normally use the HBM 1/8th but honestly the ease of use and the quality of this unit, might even sell my HBM filter haha this is really great.

Unfortunately I already bought the fixed ND from Freewell a month or two before this kit was introduced. No regrets as it is great, but this one looks even nicer.

I think you sold me! I'm putting together an FX3 with the 24-105 f4 G (and the 16-35 f4 PZ G with a step-up ring). I'm curious if you can still use the lens hood with this VND system on the lens. Let me know if you have a sec. Thanks.

Hey there^^ At 09:19 the angle you shoot is quite higher than the previous shot and flaring depends on that same angle. Can you asure me 10000% that the flaring is really-really gone? Still sceptical from these 3 seconds of footage... And more so - did they changed just the Mist Base or all separate 1/8 & 1/4's are now non flaring? Highly doubtful :/

It doesnt make sense not linking the exact product you talk on your video the 1/8 mist filter. The magnetic vnd improvement from 1/4 then changed to 1/8. Would you please send a link to the 1/8 the one you like on the video

Which lenses had 82mm filter ring? My biggest lens had 77mm filter ring, and now even this need step up ring. But I heard VND is better when larger. Get rid of vignettes and flares. Agreed, everyone?

Hi Vu, thanks for the honesty review. I just got mine 95mm today, yes i love it. I did noticed that the lens cap(freewell logo on it) magnet is every strong but when I snap on the the rest of the filter it quit loose, like it's about half of the magnet strange of the lens cap. do you have the same problem? I hope to hear from you.

I put the filter the right way but when I was turning the VND 2-5 and 6-9 stop the normal way it felt off some time so i have to turn every slowly . Lucky i was testing on the table. When I put on the lens cap(freewell logo on it) and when I take it off the VND filter will stack on the lens cap. Is this the magnet problem on the VND 2-5 and 6-9 Filter?

can you talk about how there missing ND2 and ND4 ? the lowest ND they start at is ND8. can’t build a basic system (ND2, ND4, ND8, ND16) (1 stop, 2 stops, 3 stops, 4 stops of ND)

If you use the VND base by itself, without the outer filter, it gives you one stop. Then you add the outer filter and it gives you two stops, at its lowest setting, up to five stops at the highest.

I actually said it was too strong in mine as well LOL I also didn’t like that it cut down on one stop of light when you use the filter you couldn’t use mist on its own with just mist….. I guess I am too picky lol 😂
