Thanks James ... this was very tense. Everything was perfect, and I would like it to have flaps ... a lot of enjoyment and less landing danger ... but ... we can not have it all.
I would setup mine up with flaperons. That should allow you to slow it down for landings. Just need to put ailerons on separate channels. You can have it all.
@@hifinsword and a specific rx for that. No 3rd party rx, and a minimum of 8 channels if its Futaba. And anyway, this edf floats like the F22, no need to use flaps, a Yak 130, thats another story, or talk about a F20 50mm, lets not forget the Tunderchief 64mm. Its a matter of letting it bleed and throttle control.
@@zubuxstein If you want a recommendation for a Rx, I fly Spektrum. So any 6Ch Rx or better would do. The AR636 would give you what you need and have stab available on Ch7 if your Tx is capable of that. The Lemon 7Ch basic Rx/Stab would also do well. You don't NEED flaps but I fly off grass, so the slower I can get for landings, the better. It means less rollout for TOFFs & LNDs, i.e. less wear and tear on the LG. Although the Lemon brand is a 3rd party DSMX/2 compatible Rx, it outperforms Spektrum in all the side-by-side tests I've read about.
I prefer 4 adrenaline galore minutes, than 8 to 12 minutes of watching ice melt while flying. Trust me, take two or three 6S packs on one day, and should be more than enough. Bring always a smaller edf on 4S 2200mah as the 70mm cools off, time will fly-by quick.

I bought one. And I love this thing, very slick. My son and I are free wing fanatics My question is,, which receiver do you recommend? I bought the admiral 600 with gyro and stability control. I’m going through the set up process as I speak. Iv got everything under control and plan a maiden tomorrow. I’m curious which receiver you would choose, and why. I’m running the DX6e for a transmitter. Just want to make sure everything is perfect for tomorrow’s flight. Thanks!!
well i truly can't believe this, i watched build vid then the flight vid ,, clicked link to MRC ,, went to click buy and as i look it goes from in stock to out of stock ,, i froze too be sure never fails ,
