Great video and flight....Thanks for posting this.... I have gone through about 5 of these models. (1 way before I was ready to fly EDF's, then 2 beaters from swap meets for under $20 each, and one for about $50 that looked new and then 1 more I bought new.) - None got more than about 30 flights before they became grass-smashers. I bought 4 of them before I should have been flying EDF's, and before I learned not to fly so far away that it becomes a little spec in the sky 😁 I notice they have a blue one out now, so I guess I will grab one more...(Wish they would came out with a 70 or 80mm model with retracts) They are super fun flyers, and one of my favorite aircraft to look at....
I’m on my 2nd T-33 and I’m trying to keep it in better shape. They launch best with a good wind, if it’s calm it’s likely to be a failed launch resulting in a crash. This F9F though with the 4S setup launches very well and I’ve never had an issue. I think it has enough thrust to really propel it to flying speed quickly unlike the T-33 that needs a steady wind. I have never tried the F9F with the stock setup and 3S. It might be just as bad as the T-33.
@@IllFlyIt The F9 on 3S was a big factor on how I went through so many of these. You have to throw like Brett Favre to get a good launch. I got around that by setting up a switch that gave the elevators about a 5 degree up. This helped it climb out and saved a lot of abuse on them. Most I just lost orientation on because I let them get too far away. Thanks for the video - I know the time and trouble it can be to make and post them. (I have about 30 that are waiting for editing and posting)
