Thanks Very much David 👍, I like Northampton in the morning with the sun on the right side if we have some sun, but I'm getting bowled at lot the last few times I've been there, so I think I will go when there on dull days only. Mike.
Blimey some of those were mega fast!! They were not hanging around! Brilliant! All I can say is wow!! Absolutely terrific!! Another tremendous video! Cracking shots and captures there! Lovely sounds and a great way to start! I always find it amusing how some wagons are extremely squeaky and some aren't! Music to my ears though! Typical with that 350 blocking the 90s but loved 90015 and 90048 which have not been long in Freightliner Jaffa/tangerine livery! Excellent in every shape or form! Fantastic camera work and detail as usual! What more could you want!? A perfect example of why I recommend your excellent channel! Job well done and top class as well! You do get some good workings at the locations you go too! Never a disappointment! Great work from you! Loved every second! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! Keep up the fabulous work! Take care, stay safe and well, keep up the fabulous, inspiring and enjoyable videos we all appreciate your time and effort into them! Have an awesome day and all the best!
Wow Mike, what a breathtaking display of fast and mega fast freight - must have had you breatless some of the time, thanks for sharing it! My mate, John Anderson, has been down that way all this week and he's had a hectic time keeping with the frequency of the trains. He was certainly ay Rugby when you were there, also Northampton, Milton Keynes, etc
I'm back Ken, sorry its taken all this time to reply to your comment. That's good Ken your mate would not be disappointed with the amount of freight trains he would see, you mentioned Rugby so was your mate there when I filmed the Royal train If so I did notice one other guy there with a rucksack on his back. Cheers Ken for watching this video. Mike.
Oh yes Mark I enjoyed all the planning for them Trips, and yes I remember that day which involved a few bus rides. I don't know If I will go back doing that part of the hobby Mark, as I can't stand all the signing in crap, anyway time will tell, cheers for your interest. Mike.
nice video mike loved it and yes some mega fast frieght rumbling through i like the look of the new frieghtliner livery bit of a contrast to the water train covered on graffiti keep em coming mate . stay safe mike A T B Syd
I do like the new Freightline livery on the class 90 Jon, 90010 came out of Wolverton last Friday and 90003 went in on the same day, thanks Jon for your continued interest in my videos. Mike.
Gotta admit I like the tangerine colour on the 90's too, Mike. There was a delay rolling out the scheme as another company had an issue about the Freightliners' orange & yellow scheme being similar to theirs but the ORR overruled the complaint.
excellent shots👍 shame you got blocked twice it's been the same with me we see the water train often through Ashford i remember when it did 90mph with a class 92 on it sadly that doesn't happen now it's 66's 🤔
Yeah Barry you are right the water train used to be a 92, and regarding getting blocked at Northampton, I have decided to only go there if its a dull day and go on the other platform.
Great video, us brits must have some of the best colour schemes for freight traffic, but it is a shame you never captured a class 90 speeding full throttle. 👍
Correct me if I'm wrong Mike, but didn't there used to be a peak hour A/C loco hauled evening rush hour train that used to go from Euston via Northampton? If my memory serves me right it would have been in the 1970's, possibly early 80's...
No Julian them were the days I loved when I was collecting stock, the rush hours trains did go as far as Northampton with class 81s or 85s with a rack of about 12 MK 1. Thank for reminding me of them days, Mike.
Plenty of sunshine and freight to enjoy there Mike! Noticeable how you only get the 90s early morning then none until late afternoon with everything else being 66s under the wires - not very environmentally friendly.
I thought is was 66423 coming back but it was 431 unless they change the shed at Daventry and also 4L48 is head to Tilbury not Purfleet well DRS service use to run to/from Purfleet but they stopped.
Well Robert I don't like saying this but you could not have watched all the video, because every time there was a different location I put where I was.
