As freightliner lover and driving a 2006 classic I will say this one is one of a kind prept like a princess...❤love it and the sound omg just like a diesel locomotive passing by.... Thanks for sharing this art of beauty with us... Hope the truck and the trucker be safe from evil eyes.
I was just thinking the same thing! If youre going to put an extremely long sleeper, I get it. The spread axle trailer makes sense for extremely heavy loads, but the extended frame of the truck would only make it more difficult to make turns.
@@richardryan2769 Freighliner COE don't ride so nice its not the purpose I don't care how long the frame is. The setback axle helped more than this nightmare at a tight loading dock Along with the split tandem trailer. This one needs 40 acres to maneuver , maybe more
One thing I always hated about those spread axle trailers, is when backing you never knew which axle would slide it made backing into a tight dock difficult at best.
@6robertdavey Same here in North America , it's just a style choice. Usually paired with a stretched truck. I've worked on a few reefers for guys that have stretched Pete's , stainless reefer trailers and they have the spread axle. Usually the rear is a lift axle.
First truck I ever drove was a double bunk cab over Pete with a KT-450 & a 15 over on 355s 24.5 big rubber & I ran to Merced ca & back 6 trips in a row non-stop
Those things would beat you to death, but that truck was from an era when trucking was still fun. It wasn't a job it was a lifestyle. It's just not the same as it use to be, and that's all there is to it...
Ran white freightliners on Intl. Transport in 64&65 with Cummins 335 and 380, in 66 and 68 ran em with 335 Detroit v8-71’s. No jakey on DD’s in them years and they sure got cold running long grades like west side of Donner!
God I miss seeing cabovers all the time on the roads like when I was a kid. Or riding in my dad's 83 K100. And that grey... OMG it's always been 1 of my favorite colors. Love it so much I painted my 86 Firebird primer grey with a few coats of clear on top. Turned out great looking for a 16yr old kid that was broke. 😂
