As a German, Scholz is embarassing. He is too afraid, always talks about "escalation", as if Germany would get "special treatment", if we would do, what other nations do. As if it's a higher risk for Germany. He should grow a spine, give Taurus, and allow Ukraine to use german weapons, how they want. It's just sad, how he acts and how afraid he is, and embarassing 🤦♂️
It's advantages to Putin if Germany takes an aggressive step up. It would give substance to the Naz1 rhetoric for the Russian folk. It's not as if they need it, the Russian populace gobbles up all that it is fed without thinking for themselves. Even Russian stock Germans living in Germany to a greater degree believe Putin's BS.
Dear Artur. The danish prime minister has also said that delivered weapons can be used as the Ukranians wish to defend themselves against the russian aggression. Thank you so much for your hard work informing us and the world
What weapons ?? Danish weapons made ?? If weapons are made in the EEUU owned by Danish army will be not allowed until Biden give permission. I am in Spain....we have not military factories so we can't allow Ucraniana what to do or not to do withe EEUU weapons we have.
Thank you Artur for bringing attention to the situation in Georgia. As a Georgian who takes part in protests, I am very happy you are with us and like you said, we will not give up, we will fight till we get rid of our puppet government. Freedom is worth more than anything and we will protect it.
As a Swede, living in the middle of the Baltic Sea I have to say that the policy that Ukraine have to defend themselves against a numerical superior and barbaric foe - with one hand tied to its' back....? Needs to go. As a matter of fact - I cannot understand why this restriction wasn't lifted at the very least several months ago, if not year(?)! And, if you're someone who's 'on the fence' still - whatever your nationality? Just consider this: All of us, that is EVERY other nation around the Baltic and/or the Scandinavian peninsula (like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland or Germany) - not only do we get along just fine (without any at the very least serious disputes), we have several different defense-alliances & - cooperation's. Hell, we even share our intelligence with each-other. WHY? ALL of the information ALL OF US gather is Russian intelligence! Again, why? Simple.... WE ALL KNOW THAT RUSSIA IS (and has for hundreds of years always been) THE ENEMY, as in both the threat, and from where the constant threats come from! Yes - it's that simple! Russia wants to, and have always wanted to expand into Europe....How far? I'll tell you how far - as far as they can! Russia ONLY understand the language of the sword....(as the old Norse saying goes)! Russia DOESN'T just stop - it must be MADE to stop, by FORCE. No other way!
The difference between the wars entered into by US and Russia is the PURPOSE. US made war with some countries to stop them from being aggressive, brutal, adventurous, despotic, repressive, autocratic, terroristic, crime lord, etc. Whereas, Russia initiated wars to gain land, excert control and undue influence among the countries she invaded.
@teaser6089 maybe, but I don't see hundreds of thousands protesting like in Georgia... They can't imprison everyone. If they could Poland, GDR, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, etc. wouldn't be free countries today... Russians should get their sh*t together otherwise it's just a crime by non-action 🤷... "Non-action can be considered actus reus in criminal law"
Except Hungarians and Serbs. Who were sleeping during this lesson. Hungarians' grandfathers bled for freedom, yet they refuse to learn. Sorry, I'll be gladly proven wrong here. But that's how it appears to me, and I think it's accurate.
I totally agree with President Macron. President Biden needs to follow the example. How do you stop the sources of missiles when they are launched from Russian soil?
I couldn’t agree more, and perhaps there is something I’m not understanding but why isn’t Ukraine currently striking internal Russian targets already, considering Great Britain has already given them the go ahead to do so?
What JB-pu8ik says in these responses is important to face. ruzzia and putin would have escalated weapons productions in 2014 if the world had backed Ukraine. putin had time to do so but was willing to try propaganda, etc., to slowly win all of Donbas. In 2022 putin had himself convinced he could march through Ukraine unopposed by the world. He was correct BUT Ukraine held him back !!! The sequence is granting the world another chance to be more capable at containing ruzzia. Without the sequence playing out as it has, the West might have been in a very bad position with Ukraine lost to ruzzia and the Baltics falling like dominoes. The best luck the world had in 2022 was that ruzzia had not multiplied and modernized all its weaponry. But ruzzia will multiply all weapons NOW if given another chance - they won't make the same mistake again. Will we?
If Germany had been a grown-up country regarding nuclear power, the invasion in 2014 wouldn’t have happened. Germany did nothing for decades but shoveling money at Russia, making itself extremely dependent on Russia in the process.
Yes and no. Ukraine was to corrupt and not united at that time. But I agree that the sanctions we have today should have been started in 2014 in the same intensity and I believe he would not tried to get into Ukraine a second time. And I believe the consequences we all feel at the moment with high energy prices would be milder, because we had no pandemic afflicted economy at that time.
American here! I think we, the West, should have defended Ukraine in 2014 in compliance with the protection in exchange for Soviet Nuclear weapons deal.
I second that. We have a classic joke monicker for the French that I will never again repeat out of my new found respect for Macron and the French people…unless, of course, they surrender, eat some cheese and we find out they have feet with opposable big toes which there is zero chance of from the Foreign Legion - they are top tier. Russian soldiers beware: your chances of surviving more are than 8 hours on the field are getting slimmer day by the day. Slava Ukraini!
Thank you for the clarity in your report. As a UK citizen with no military experience I would never have imagined such hypocrisy in allowing Ukraine to use the 'Patriot' to shoot the missiles but not the planes firing them......this policy must change. Ukraine must win against the evil it is being subjected to.
I am really glad to see that France awakened to the gravity of the situation. Ukrainians has every right to defend itself. Instead of criticising them, these politicians should look at them to see what "being brave" looks like.
It’s election year, so if he does anything TOO drastic then it could imperil his reelection, and all his opposition would be worse for Ukraine then him. Watch, if Biden wins the election, then the gloves will come off since it’d be his second and last term.
@slugface322 if Russia is using Iranian & North Korean weapons on sovereign Ukraine, Ukraine can use weapons from their allies on military goals in Russia.
@@B.W.Broom-xc6gs Well that's a lie since all I have to do is go to the store to prove you wrong. I've also found no less than 3 stores in my area already. So save your GOP nonsense for your own country.
It's like giving the Brits weapons during WW2, but marked with a tag "please don't use them against nazis". It literally makes zero sense whatsoever. Sullivan and Scholz are letting themselves be deterred by the Kremlin directly. They are governed by fear, not confidence. I say this as an avid Biden supporter against maga.
Kamala Harris has actually said she is in agreement with Ukrainian soldiers being able to defend themselves from Russian aggression wherever that aggression comes from (So I take it that she is endorsing Ukraine hitting Russians over the border without directly attacking Biden
You get the same people living in Lithuania refusing to speak or learn Lithuanian for 34 years. Many of the older ones only have old Soviet Identity Cards. They were required to declare nationality but not legally compelled. They have simply been waiting for 34 years in expectation that Russia would reconquer the Baltics and didn't want to explain why they had taken Lithuanian, Latvian or Estonian citizenship. It's like the so called "Sovereign Citizens" in the USA. They think they are Sov Cits. Dreaming of getting back a time when they had higher social, political and economic status than every one else in Lithuania.
Hm, do the russians not refuse medical suplies and social aids, if in occupied terretories you have half a year later not the russian passport? Should they be astonished if after 30 years no passport that would have consequences?
As an American I am TRULY EMBARRASSED and pissed at the people who CHOOSE the RIDICULOUS political BS that is tying the Ukrainians hands and NOT allowing them to defend themselves
The US definitely is. But don't believe everything (or anything?) that Artur says. When it comes to Germany, Artur likes to misrepresent and lie about most things. In the press conference, which he conveniently only shows Macron's part, Scholz supported Macron's position and said that Ukraine can hit inside of Russia with western weapons and that it never had any restrictions from most western countries.
@lordaizen I think this policy is not going to last a long time. It's not sustainable. I think it's a mistake. Remember before tanks, missiles and now fighter jets were sent in they said "nooo it's irresponsible we can't do that it'll start ww3". Bullsh*t. We did it. It's how we win. Stop being governed by fear!
@@paxcarmanica I can't agree there. None of us outside Germany can have a complete picture of what the Germans really think en mass and Sholtz will also be playing to his electorate. Bearing in mind the media is not there to tell us the truth. So we have to make do with a mass of opinions. As fir lying about most things. That is a sweeping generalization. Can you tell me with some certainty what these lies are? He's a lot closer to the action that we are.
Artur is kinda full of shit when it comes to the US policies and how the US actually is carrying its services out to Ukraine. Take what he says with a grain of salt. Remember, he grew up hating the US, most Slavs and Baltics people did. He really doesn't know what he's talking about half the time when it comes to the US and why I honestly can't really stand to watch him as much anymore. He really puts Americans off and makes us think hmmm, well if you don't appreciate what we're trying to do,maybe we should stay out of it. In reality, the US kinda has to say to Ukraine, hey only use these weapons within Ukraine *wink wink* The US is always the one country that is damned if you do, damned if you don't. But there's absolutely 100% reason to believe the US is having them destroy those nuclear detect/response silos recently. What would Ukraine even stand to gain by destroying those in particular? Nothing lol. But the US? HUGE targets in a potential nuclear war.
The obvious reasoning should be if Russia is allowed to use Iranian weapons and North Korean weapons on Ukrainian soil which they are, then why shouldn’t Ukraine use their allies weapons on Russian soil?!?!
What is sad is no one knows what happens better than the USA when you put restrictions on soldiers and how to fight a war! Just look at Vietnam! I believe this is exactly why France is allowing Ukraine to fight as they see fit. They learned this lesson in Vietnam...... and every other war they've lost! Seriously I give France respect for making this decision because they are not acting like cowards like other countries including my America! Let them fight! We have no moral high ground to tell them otherwise. I stand with Ukraine!
I guess democratic politicans are not ready to make 5 days each 3 to 4 hours seminar under top-military men to learn how modern war runs, before they make decisions. I guess they make not mor than 30 min briefing and have no clear idea what their decisions mean. The geneeal, who wins a battle, has made many calculations, the one who loses, has made no calculations. (Was that Sun Zu?) I would be curious, how much western politicans calculated?

President Macron has to his credit taken the lead in the support of Ukraine's right to defend her lands in using western weapons beyond the Russian border. Those NATO countries who oppose this should be abjectly ashamed for their cowardice.
It's not cowardice NATO is a treaty of defense only it never condoned military offensives but yes it should allow counter offensive actions . France is a NATO member Ukraine is an applicant to join NATO the moment Ukraine joins the border is set to where forces can enforce actual modern class defences, Which is why Ukraine needs to reclaim as much territory as possible from the invaders before joining which is why chimera is an important objective .
Macron is just using war in Ukraine to try to earn some votes for European elections. But, in reality, he is negotiating with Xi Jinping a ceasefire during the Olympics.
I say it again, this time on behalf of European civilisation; that- -Ukraine is OUR front line; in action on behalf while we sleep. Most of us just haven't realised it yet, I call it ostrich syndrome.
While Russia can use Iranian and North Korean weapons without "escalation." Ukraine has no chance of turning things around if they can't strike Russia with anything but their own drones
You are correct. I'm American and I don't take offence to your comments. I don't understand our cowardly leaders. I use the word leader loosely. How frustrating it must be to have the weapons to defend yourself but be told you can't use them. SHAMEFULL.
@@ruks345 - the military minds aren't the ones doing the hamstringing. @@DeeSmith001Ukraine is a sovereign democracy that the US has alliances and partnerships with, being invaded by a non-allied, generally hostile nation lead by an effectively unelected dictator. Why should I give a damn about an American diplomat to decide who is in the right here?
What really gets me is Russia is allowed to use Iranian and North Korean weapons on Ukrainian territory but Ukraine cannot use US or German weapons on Russia. The US and Germany should change their decision and allow the use of their weapons on Russian territory unless they stop using other countries weapons on Ukraine.
As an American, who are we appeasing by refusing to allow Ukraine to defend against attacks coming from Russo territory? We would never follow restrictions on our own defense
We've been doing this to our own troops since Korea... Look at all of the bonkers restrictions US politicians placed on US forces in Vietnam. The exact same rationale that lost that war is the same rationale they're using to this day in Ukraine: "it might upset the Russian cave beasts!" So the US military's worst enemy in the 1960's/70's is Putin's most effective weapon to this day in Ukraine: US politicians/foreign policy that think they can set "rules" for war and still somehow win a conflict.

Happy Wednesday my friend. As an American, I do not understand why my nation ties one hand behind Ukraine's back in not letting them shoot back into Russia. It truly makes me so angry at our politicians.
Yeah brother, I feel your pain with Macron. As an balto-finnic language background we are used to spaces between words, so French is whole new ball game. Studied it 2 years, can't speak it, hardly understand anything. Thanks for your great update again Artur. Slava Ukraini!
I simply cannot express the foolishness my government (usa) displays by hamstringing Ukraine in this manner. My government seems to have two faces and I find it repugnant.
It is a bit frustrating when both parties are making huge mistakes about Ukraine aide. One side, or at least enough to cause long term damage, wants to jump in bed with Putin and the other is consistently feckless in terms of foreign policy whether it's hamstringing Ukraine or giving Israel a blank check and a pass. They are both only concerned with their own selfish aims rather than applying their positions as intended.
So your neighbour can throw his rubbish into your garden, throw stones through your windows and cut your power supply but you must be a good guy and just quietly tidy up without complaining.
Georgia better vote EVERY SINGLE Dream party member out if they want to do anything about this peacefully. They should also make sure that all politician's are registered as foreign agents of Russia!
You may add Denmark to the list. Our PM Mette Frederiksen officially announced today that Danish weapons may also be used inside Russia (within the limits of international law). Chapeau to our friends in France for stepping up and taking leadership. That is great to hear.
Autocrats use the protections of the "rules based order" while flouting both the letter and spirit of those rules. Countries that defy and violate the obligations imposed by these agreements have no right to expect equal treatment or "protection" under them. It's a package deal, not a la cart.
I'm American and I have contacted president Biden about not allowing Ukraine to use American weapons on Russian soil. This policy is totally ridiculous. Hopefully Biden will grow some and reverse this ignorant policy.
You've "contacted" the President? You got his pager? Maybe pass it around to the group...let us hit him up...? No...? Look...I commend you on your dedication to Ukraine...But have you "contacted" the President, any U.S. President, with regard to any other topic? Or is the defense of Ukraine where your loyalties lay? Democrats, includint Biden, opposed and blocked lethal military aid to Ukraine from 2014 through to 2023. Only when it became politically advantageous to Biden/Democrats did they begin to feign their support for Ukraine. The war began in Feb. of 2014. Where was Biden then? The first U.S. President to send lethal military aid to Ukraine was former President Trump. Did you "contact" him to thank him for not bullshitting his support? But you know, I'll give you what you want for your post: "Good job. You deserve a pat on your back for all your work "contacting" the President of the United States and ensuring he does what you think is appropriate.". My God...People really are sad these days. You want to help...? Like...Really help? Send your savings to Ukraine Aid Ops. They'll put your funds to better use than your supposed "contacts" in the Administration.
The reason is we want russia to put as much of its military as it can into ukraine and not other places. If ukraine uses not ukrainian weapons to attack russia then russia will just escalate to de-escalate like their policy says and attack poland, finland or the baltics to try to convince nato to quit giving weapons since they're being used to attack internationally recognized russia itself. Then their escalation will prompt nato to start ww3 against russia. That's why america is trying to avoid this situation at the moment.

I'm drafting an email to my senators in the US and I'd like to encourage anyone else in the US to do the same encouraging them to ease restrictions on how US supplied arms can be utilized. We can't expect Ukraine to defend itself while tying their hands behind their backs.
The vast majority of the senators and representatives that voted in favor of the aid package are in favor of allowing Ukraine to use the weapons as they see fit. Even Speaker Johnson said that we don't need to be micromanaging what Ukraine does. If you are going to write to anyone, it needs to be the White House and Jake Sullivan.
French as a language can be really fast when it comes to information transfer unlike English. Watching a few french people have a conversation is like a verbal tornado.
Well said!! I took French in school and I did okay but on the days when the teacher would play vids and recordings of actual French people speaking it was a nightmare. I had the vocabulary but they just talked so fast I could never keep up.

There are around 900 Ukrainians in the French Foreign Legion, who were authorised in March 2022 to go near the Polish-Ukrainian border to bring their families back to France. A few (very few) have deserted to fight at the front. This was the case of Yevheniy Koulyk, who was killed in January 2023 near Bakhmut.

Hi ! I guess that because you're speaking of France, RU-vid's algorithm decided it was a good time to present your channel to little french me. Fun fact : Estonian seems easier to pronounce than most languages for a french. Or at the very least, I've tried to speak a few words of all scandinavian languages and estonian was the one I thought I wasn't butchering it. As for France's help, I also don't know why we didn't step up since day one but it is what it is. At least our caesars are good. It apparently takes 18 months to build one cannon, so I suppose the manufacturing process involves singing it lullabies and giving it good night kisses so it can grow up strong and sturdy, but at least the end result makes it a very precise thing. And we gave half our stockpile to Ukraine. Not really a consolation of course when ex-USSR nations give so much to Ukraine but hey, let me cope a little bit.
Absolutely agree with you - there are some Brits who have lived in Spain for years and made little attempt to learn the Spanish language. It is irrelevant that many in Spain (or wherever) can speak English. If you live in another country for several years you must make an attempt to speak the local language. It is a matter of decency and good manners. The same applies to Russians living in the Baltic countries. No attempt to integrate suggests the people concerned do NOT want to be a part of the country in which they live. and, in the case of Russia, they may be seen as posing a security risk to their host country.
The difference is that the British expats in Spain pose no danger to Spanish self-government, and the UK government has no program of destruction of the Spanish people, whereas the Russians pursued a genocidal campaign of elimination of the Baltic people's language and culture for nearly 50 years. During that time (especially 1940 to 1954) the Baltic peoples were systematically shot or deported to the Soviet gulags, while ethnic ruzzians were moved in to replace them.
