I had those same placemats! They were a wedding gift 35 years ago! :) They last forever!! I love the cocktail shaker, its so cool! The table is gorgeous, so colorful!
I'm so happy to see some thrifted items in the shop as I always love what you and your sisters find and offer them at such affordable prices. The table setting with the rattan chargers and topped off with the bird plates - so sweet. You will be stepping into school with such great looks from your thrift haul. - love the different pieces.Thank you for introducing us to Kim and her lovely shop with so many cool furnishings. Another great video, thanks Paula.
Thank you so much!! I thought those bird plates were so fun! I was so tempted to hang on to them, but I also love to find new homes for lovely things! I am hoping for some cooler weather to try out my new clothing finds!
Thank you for sharing your amazing finds! I live in Northern Nevada but would love to visit the Painted Cottage!! I also collect & dispay birds, bunnies, butterflies & ducks!!❤️
Paula, this video was amazing. You had so many lovely items in your haul. I love pimpernell items. I’m obsessed with the madewell sweater vest…if you change your mind on that, you know where I live, lol! Finally, Kim’s artistic eye and taste are nothing short of amazing. I loved her home shop and will plan to attend her whatnot live sale. My favorite items are her woodland critters. I could have watched this video on loop all day. Thanks for it all! ❤
So many great finds Paula! I have the beautiful platter that you gave your mom and I use it during the fall and winter seasons. It would be a good idea to add a couple items of clothing to your shop but it could also be linens: tablecloths (that you have such a good eye for), vintage kitchen towels, aprons, and things like that. I cannot possibly resist a beautiful linen or cotton tablecloth -I just have to buy them! Kim's shop is beautiful- thank you for taking us with you!
Thank you, Gloria!! I am definitely going to be adding some clothing items to the shop and linens are a great idea! I will for sure be on the lookout for some to add to the shop!
You really found some great thrift finds. I for one would be interested in thrift clothing in your online shop. And I love The Painted Cottage and Kim. What a fun business.
Paula you always find the best things at your Goodwill! I love the placemats especially. I would love to spend some time in Kim's booth and home. I like the vintage artwork and the brass duck on the mantel. Wish I lived closer! As the weather gets cooler I'm sure you will enjoy the clothing items you purchased as well. Hope you have a fantastic school year! Good luck to you as you go back to work 😊
Thank you! Yes... that vintage artwork just really spoke to me this year in my travels up north. I came home with so many great finds, and not enough wall space to display them all! 😆
Hi Paula good to see you my love. What lovely finds you have. Loved looking through your friends shop, I do watch the on line sale but can't buy as you know oim in England. Its always great to see you and your sisters weekly. Thanks for sharing as always . Catch you next time. Xxxxxx
Fun visit to see your latest finds. The Pimpernel placemats are lovely! I have several sets of their placemats and coasters acquired over the years and love them. (I think the word you were looking for is laminated, and they refer to them as having a "satin finish" on the top, so not glossy, and they're quite durable, as you noted.) The bird and floral salad plates look delightful in your tablescape! I'd have a hard time choosing just one item in Kim's shop as my favorite, since, like you, I share a lot of her taste in farmhouse and animals, etc., but if I had to choose just one, that large white ceramic horse head would be coming home with me, for sure! Thanks for taking us along, as always!
It's just a lovely fall garland I found somewhere... I'm guessing it was probably from a yard sale. I haven't seen anything quite like it in the stores! But such a neat rustic addition to my mantel!
