Ohhh, I'm glad you painted the statue, she did have this kinda " weird thing " going on, lol. Even a 50/50 wash of paint would work as well, if you were concerned about having g enough paint. 🙂 looks good, she fits in much better . Love love love that painting over the Mantke piece, it's something I'd use as well. I think the other one works beautifully in the Fall and Winter. But that is definitely a Summer painting and it really looks nice. Beautiful. I really like the Toile in the kitchen, I know You have used that before but it just really makes your kitchen look sooooo pretty. I like " borrowing "stuff from other rooms, lol... including furniture.....drapes.... whatever! Lol. It helps with spending less and taking advantage of things you already have. Everything looks lovely, soothing, inviting .... relax and enjoy it. I'm hoping things are well as far as recovery, I said lots of Healing Prayers for you, sweet friend. I love the blue also. I have blue and white in my bedroom just a little more rustic with grain stripe and ticking my pic are old barn with the English country farm animals and barns! Anything vintage is pretty!
*Imagine, Repurpose, Re-Use* . I live in Upstate NY. I'm very influenced by what I see going on in Nature for the seasons. I chose blue and white with classic stripes for a very simplified aesthetic. When doing "seasonal" decorating, I don't attempt to "re-invent" the wheel. Color palette, texture, and pattern are my "go-to" small shifts. Throws, pillow covers, a few decorative objects, DONE! All is quiet and calm, yet styled at the same time.
Everything turned out lovely. I love blue and white. That is how I decorate in the Spring and summer. I had a couple chairs I was going to get recovered but I painted them and turned out like new. Praying you are getting better each day.

I have a large Thomasville overstuffed sofa/loveseat we bought new in 1999. Its very heavy. The cushions and back pillows are also encased with down which has flattened some over time. I still love the sofa and its depth. I saw a trick on YT to stuff unused bed pillows in with the back cushions and what an amazing difference! They plumped and firmed up just right. Im going to add some foam core to the seat cushions to form them up too. Im not ready to spend $3000 to replace this comfy piece. It has that old lived in yet not tired look. Good furniture is well worth the money. We have collected so many nice things over the years and as fall is now here, I am so glad my house (or Maybe its me) wont work with a white pallet. I love the rich wood that ages beautifully over time. It just evolves like a classic home should. I cant bring myself to paint my gorgeous things white but I still love that look.

you are wonderful at decorating, I love French Country, but I have always seen color used, especially Red. You took it all away. I also like Shabby Chic, that is what yours remind me of because it is all white or beige. Please don't take me wrong I love your decorating. I am just saying what I think of when you say French Country and the things I have noticed and seen on line for French Country. Keep going you are great.
