Nice video. Thanks ! Around 2005, the French Army bought from MSA Safety/Gallet a limited number of TC-2000 (MICH) copy in aramid material. These helmets (called TC-F NVG) have the same shape as the ACH but with a liner similar to the SPECTRA F2. They are still in service but are slowly replaced by the FELIN Helmet.
3:37 ---> the F1 is still sometimes used by reservist today. i got a relative in the reserve, and this is a F1 that this relative got. as for the F2 spectra helmet, the fiber is UHMWPE (spectra and deenema are brand name for UHMWPE)

one more thing, when fitting a desert cover on a F1 helmet, the draw string tightens too tight around the rim as to obstruct vision and comfort. Have mine fitted with both covers and all falls into place nicely.
The CCE has not a desert version, the name means central europe camouflage, which refers to a woodland set of colours, the desert camouflage use by france is called the daguet, I think because of the first mission it was issued, it does take a similar shape of forms as the CCE but cannot reffered as a desert version, anyways great video
May I ask you, how do you clean your helmets.. I mean I can clean really easily my MLE 51 .. But I just ordered from France an F1 Gen 1 for 15€ , and I see it's kinda nightmare inside with all the stuff... So if you tell me how you clean this it will be very helpful!
Well the liner can be cleaned up pretty easy with some dish soap and scrubbing and then just make sure to dry it thoroughly. Since the f1 liner just unscrews just remove it and clean it and then you can clean the shell and when the liner is dry reassemble it
That’s about what it would cost here with the shipping but I’m looking for one of the older ones and those are more expensive here. One of the ones with the fiber liner not the plastic ones. If you can see what the price is on one of those over there I would appreciate it
@@DevinK these paratrooper ones from the independance war of Algeria are extremely rare even here in France... probably around 500 dollars but it is truly a really interesting piece of french history
