⭐ The French Girl Look or the French girl style is a subject that never goes out of style! The French stereotype is that French women tend to look so chic, so put together, so glowy, all while looking natural and like they just walked out the door after waking up….without doing anything! But the big secret is that there is a lot of work that goes into looking like a French woman and “looking” natural.
So today’s video isn’t in my living room like normal… dun dun dun… but we venture into my bathroom for a french girl makeup tutorial with all my french girl and parisian beauty tips . I’ll show you the typical French women routine, what steps to follow and what you can do to look like those “effortlessly” chic French women!

Wonderful. I have always appreciated the natural yet put together style that the French makeup routine personifies. I didn't really understand it until moving to France and seeing it first hand. Since then I have been using less and less and better and better quality of those I do use. Moisturiser and sunscreen are such a given here :-)

I love the French makeup look. I think it looks much more natural, attractive and sophisticated than the current American look with contouring, highlighting, false eyelashes and exaggerated eyebrows.

You look great. I would say to gel the brows,with clear or tint. But, overall, very pretty and do-able!

You just did my makeup routine and I am a Midwest IL girl/(ok at 57 I guess nature is applicable! As a teenager in the 1980s that wasn’t always the case with me 😂 but I was grateful to go a la francais as it is the most flattering look for mature ladies! Grateful to every French lady out there, merci for embracing aging as a gift to be celebrated as opposed to trying to hide your age with 8 layers of products! I appreciate and adore you all! Edit: Mature not nature, I guess my American self still has a bit of a phobia even writing that word 😂

Girl you literally have my dream job. LRP is probably my favorite French skincare brand (French versions only the ones in the states are not the same ) especially the sunscreens. Always stock up on everything when I’m in Paris and found the shelves to be barren of SPF this November/December. I’ll be devastated if my favorite (the spf 50 hydratante crème sans parfum ) gets discontinued. Was even having trouble ordering it over there. I’ll try again next month when I’m there. I wish they made the pocket format in a bigger size, it’s a great formula.

Simple, elegant, lovely. Thank you/Merci! I'm French but living in Canada, and I'm 60+ yrs. old. Laroche Posay has always been my brand (with the odd l'Oreal product, specifically the primer, included in my make-up routine since menopause). My skincare regime is 100% L'Occitane en Provence. It costs me a fortune to have it shipped to the west coast of Canada but it's worth every penny!

I use an eyelash curler because mine are pretty straight and if I'm using mascara I absolutely have to curl them before putting any on or else my glasses would be completely smudged

I also absolutely have to do my eyebrows, because mine are a little patchy. But I don't go overboard or change the shape, just fill in the sparse areas. I started using this Japanese brow pen back when I was living in Korea, and I bought a bunch before moving to France, now I'm almost out. It's the perfect tawny greyish brown color that isn't too pigmented so it blends in super well. I think a bunch of western brands are starting to make them now, but the reviews don't look as good as this one Japanese brand I like

Love red lips! Don’t wear them as much as I used to…I especially love all the Chanel reds. Your makeup technique works great. One thing I would suggest…don’t blow on your brushes,,,,if you have too much tap the excess off or on pat on your hand.

I'm so glad you said that because I've blown on my brushes for years and I just now realized that doing so puts the powder in the air and I must breathe it before it settles on my countertop and floor. Not good for the lungs! Or any of the rest of my household's lungs! I'm sure it gets stirred up back into the air as we move around until we clean again and even then, it'll get stirred up again! Yikes!

I ise to not curl my lashes...54 yrs old....then started anout 3 yrs ago. Just decided to stop. I actually like the way mascara goes on and looks better with not curling my lashes.

Fun Video, i would just be a little easier when applying under the eyes, the skin is so delicate there. The look you did was very flattering. Chanel has some super nice red lipsticks. I do use an eyelash curler.
