Trainers and especially Observers were there since the start of the war. And Russia knows that as well. So this isn't that big of a deal. Ukrainians where also trained here in Germany and other countries. If they do not actively join the fight I dont think Russia will use this to start a war with NATO. And as Macron said, I am glad you put in his speech, they allow to strike identified positions of the russian military that attacked Ukraine. That just makes sense if you really want Ukraine to defend themselves.

Ukraine do not need new trainers, they were trained months ago abroad. Macron at the beginning he said he will send soldiers to fight Russia. When russia treatened with Nuclear weapons, Macron made a u-turn and said that he will send trainers to Ukraine.
