This was our first ride in Val D'isere, we headed up to test out the long 13km green trail called 'Popeye' which was mellow and super chilled towards the top, but down the bottom a little more technical. I got a rush and wanted to complete the train non stop. Once I get into the flow its hard to pull me back. Another trail we found was 'Gunpowder' if I am no mistaken on the name, and this was a blue. A lot more technical with some super cool features, that looking back at the footage we recorded I kind of wish id attempted now. Oh well, always next year.
We met a fellow rider from Britain who happened to complete the mega avalanche in Alpe d'Huez around the time we were there finishing 53rd and we went on to ride with him the following day.
I think I speak for both me and Sam when I say we would love to go back and shred these trails again for sure, I certainly really enjoyed it here!
