French police shoot, kill man suspected of setting fire to synagogue in Rouen 

Police in France have shot and killed a man suspected of setting fire to a synagogue in Rouen. Police say the man was on the roof of the synagogue holding a knife and a metal bar as smoke poured out of the synagogue's windows.
According to police, he then jumped from the roof and ran toward an officer with the knife raised, which resulted in that officer firing five times, fatally wounding the suspect.
