If you don't have a US citizen spouse/family member to sponsor you (this comprises of 65-70% of green cards), your options are very limited. I have been to China, and the speed they have developed in a short amount of time is incredible.

Non - Chinese countries like America ,European union ,Ger any ,France , Brittain ,Japan ,S,Korea invested trillions ,open factories ,transferred technology etc in China for 30 years n gave access to Non - Chinese markets -(1980-2010). Note - Non - Chinese countries 197 Population - 6.5 billions ,a huge market . Technology - Non - Chinese

That's because GDP is a worthless metric of economic well-being, at least as far as ordinary people go. GDP per capita is a better metric. Countries like USA, Australia, Norway, etc are in the top 10, China and India (both have high GDP) are in the company of third world countries. All a high GDP means is they've got a few very rich people and the resources to spend on things like building the military, but it doesn't mean anything for standards of living.

There are Americans in China right now. They went there legally, though. China doesn't allow people to enter the country legally.
