I lost an Uncle whom I never met who died of his wounds received in Normandy. To think that innocents are dying , being maimed, bereaved and suffering destruction in Europe because of territorial ambitions. 👍🏻🇫🇷✌️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Absolutely, the veterans fought against the type of far right government the conservatives and reform are trying to bring into the UK. They fought for people to be who they want to be and to have the freedom to do whatever they want in life.

We shall never forget, those that fell at Juno, Gold, Omaha and Utah beaches of D-Day, and those that lived, and broke the Nazi war machine......these lovely chaps, were a standard to live up to, for all of us that served...we thank you, for your strength, sense of humour, and persistence...I'm NY Tom's very British/Brazilian future wife MD, Veteran, Middle East & Cont. of Africa

why? if they had planned it out they could have arrived the day before complete passport checks and the take off from France for the drop instead the took off from outside France so needed to pass immigration

They ran so much away that the French destroyed 1/3 of the Lutwaffe that Germany lacked for the battle of England. Same for German tanks. They ran so much away that they protected the British when -escaping- strategically leaving from Dunkirk to the other shore of the Channel

someone skipped some history part and africa(1942 and the french defense to allow brits to fall back: bir hakeim, turning the tide in africa) and italy (1943,110k soldiers) and i wonder who took back half the france (u know the half south part that noone cared) back (operation dragoon with the brits) and the 400k (FFL) soldiers autumn 44 and the 150k(FFI) registered free fighters + all the logistics railways repaired and working to bring supply to the north east as fast as possible....logistics was a key role and i guess u never went to the army to not knowing that.

@@graveperil2169 coil mines: in the german sector, steel industries, in the german sector, iron mines, in the german sector ( u know the north east part that got invaded in 1 week)......so yeah fruits and vegetables at best if not consumed by the vichy part first.
