I believe the whole concept of the video is that the protagonist this time around (JiU) is trying to save her friends after realizing at the start of the video that they were living in an imaginary world. The purple crystal is a form of corruption and has the other five trapped in a trance. JiU touches the crystal to enter the nightmare each girl is trapped in and shoots them to wake them up and save them. She then wakes back up in the imaginary world thinking she saved them all only to realize she's trapped in her own nightmare and unable to save herself because she only had the five shots. The end of the MV has the rest of the girls waking up to realize what she did.

They haven't done any anime openings _yet,_ but this is their second collab with mobile games (this is from Girl Cafe Gun; Déjà Vu is from King's Raid). Also, there _is_ a King's Raid anime in the works, and it'd very surprising if Dreamcatcher don't do the eventual opening for that...

Following up on the masked girl in "Scream" - she was only used as a choreography placeholder in that song. The missing member is Han Dong (who goes by Handong) who went to China (her home country) last October to compete in Youth With You 2, a TV show that pitted over 100 contestants for nine spots in a Chinese idol group. (Reasons why she would do that when she was already a member of Dreamcatcher are complicated, but suffice to say foreign members of Kpop groups don't usually have the same future prospects as Koreans do, and she was looking to her own personal future.) Handong was eliminated after the second round, but was on the hook for the show until it was completely finished; in addition since she is from Wuhan (pandemic ground zero) she has not been allowed by the Korean government to re-enter the country. your Qs: for each member, there isn't anything specific like each representing a color. in their 'nightmare' series mvs each member represented a different type of nightmare. the nightmare series starts off with 'chase me' the missing member who was represented in by the masked dancer in scream is still stuck in china due to travel restrictions, so there's only 6 members in this video. all 7 are in their mvs prior to 2020.

A bit late but yes the gun sets them free. Someone mentioned that in the lore one of the girls is the sister of the girl with the gun, so at 7:03 you see her reach her hand out because she recognizes her sister. It's also why she's the one most surprised/saddened when they wake up and see her stuck in the crystal.

She says 언제까지 (eonje kkaji if romanized) which means "until when.." I really enjoyed watching you think about all that could happen next haha. She's going to run at her with the chains made me giggle 😂

Dude, jump back to their debut, Chase Me. It's the beginning of a 'nightmare' story line that ran through their first 6 comebacks and a Japanese release. You'll love the rock infused sound, fierce choreography. and cinematic MVs. Their extensive b-sides, covers, solo, and sub-unit work is in a wide variety of music styles. All with Dreamcatcher vocals and beauty. Many have their own choreography, sometimes created by the SuA, the main dancer (the one in chains). Anybody who plays a lot of video games knew what was happening right from the beginning. If the word you mentioned was eonjekkaji, it means 'How long' by itself, but put in a sentence the meaning can change in various ways which is why Korean is so difficult to translate. The language depends on context so many words do not have fixed meanings like English does. The sentence in the song means 'Stay here forever'. It's like the word is answering it's own question.

lol I think Jiu (purple hair, her real name is Kim Minji [Minji is her given name, but JiU is her stage name]) did sacrifice herself to save the others - it's not the first time we've seen that theme in a Dreamcatcher MV. The previous time she 'sacrificed' herself was in their MV called Fly High (starts really pop but goes dark towards the end) where she closed a gate to prevent the nightmare from spreading but she locked herself in to save the other members who were already being turned into their respective Nightmares. (Yeah it's not colors, it's nightmares that they have). But this is also an OST for a mobile game, so it sort of takes place 'outside' of their normal storylines. Same thing with Deja Vu, which was a collaboration with a game called King's Raid.

Next you need to react to Deja Vu and Silent Night (the last one doesn't have a MV), and then Endless Night, and then... honestly, just react to anything you can of Dreamcatcher!! I loved the expression you made at the beginning, when the piano intro suddenly changed and you said: "Okay, they draw me in already", and also loved the fighting scenes you described!! I'd recommend Deja vu for you, since you want to see them performing an opening (actually it's for the game) but it's one of their popular songs at all time. They are also singing for the anime of that game if im not wrong, name is King's Raid. Don't light my fire and/or eclipse should be the opening. I don't really search for things, ı just love to listen to them but here some tips if you didn't know.

This is stand alone, most their real title song has rock vibe or mixed rock with other genre. For this song, it is produced by esti, a music producer specialty for anime. That's why this song sounds more like anime.

Also the Main Vocalist Siyeon just Release a Song called Good Sera for the OST to the K-Drama Into The Ring. Btw Each Member has an Associated Nightmare is what you were trying to remember. The Members are Trapped in a Dream/Matrix World. JiU the Leader enters the World by Touching the Crystal. She is there to rescue the other members. To release them from the dream state she has to shoot them, but she only has 5 Shots. She Shoots all the members releasing them back to reality, but when she goes to shoot herself to escape the Crystals Dream World she is out of shots. She was able to save her members, but not herself and thereby became trapped in the Crystal.

it's a new release so they didn't add the subtitles yet. sometimes they get subtitles in right away though. you were talking so much I thought for certain you wouldn't get the story lol. well you were kind of half right, she went in(to their dream-state) to save them by shooting them. but as you could see at the start, there were only 5 shots and she didn't have enough to get herself out so in a sense she was sacrificing herself. it's a game ost so the song isn't 100% their style - their title tracks are generally rock. but if you listen to enough of their songs, their discography is really diverse in genres and genres mashes.

So Korean isn't the same as English (obvs), so sometimes when you're hearing syllables put together they may not be what you think they are? It's not easy to explain 😂 There's also the fact that they're singing the words so some of it gets...not slurred together but words run into each other for the sake of musicality. So the part you were asking about, where it sounds like she said "kajin" was actually two words, eonjekkaji nama/언제까지 남아. Words dont translate directly one for one but the whole line translates as "That name is still so aromatic Always remain, rose blue"

Just a tip on pronunciation(as of my observation), almost every language in asian, the single vowel only has one sound unlike English. Like if in English,'i' you can pronunce it as in 'fin' or 'fine' while mostly in asian language 'i' is always pronunce as in 'fin'. You can watch pronunciation video if you interested more but just want to tell you it is easy actually to pronunce romanization Asian languages (mandarin,Korean,japanes,etc)
