"Be" also stands for the Chinese character that means Sadness, so it's the cause of sadness, the cause of sadness is that I like you. And in the video you can see there's like two versions of the girls, one is the normal one and the other is the shadow, which is seductive and kind of malicious. The MV is also inspired by the movie US which has a similar concept.

As far as MV goes it is inspired by the movie US and doppelgängers is the backstory of it. Gahyeon is the main character of the MV and she tries to escape but got caught by the doppelgänger Jiu. At the beginning Yoohyeon is pushing the rack with clothes is in preparation to replace the real Dreamcatcher. The one scene of Handong’s legs dragged behind the curtain is symbolized she got replaced then after Sua’s rap the carousel is mirrored with half of the girls in white and half in red. Means all of them have been replaced. BE is 悲 in Chinese and stands of sadness. The explanation is because you love someone too much that it becomes obsession.

And it's great to come back to Dreamcatcher 💖 I also found it different from their previous stuff, but loved it nonetheless, the more I listen to it the more I like it lol The theory behind the music video is that it's heavily based on Jordan Peele's US, I've watched some other videos comparing them and WOAH that makes a lot of sense even though I can't tell for sure because I'm still building the courage to watch it 😬 But for now I chose to believe people 🤣

Ok so why you are so cute🤣 like you so much~ Actually that BEcause’s BE in Chinese is'悲',that means sad、sorrow ! And that the point of the dance too (There hands) MV also refer to the movie ‘US’ ,you can see many similar cut in the music video！ Dreamcatcher MV storyline are all amazing and scary ,hope you can reaction there other MV💪

Well, well, well. Hi there! Dreamcatcher are outdoing themselves here once again. Musically, the song is a fantastic journey. There actually are "cute" parts, but there also are parts where the guitars go full metal. The variations in BEcause remind me of their previous masterpiece, Deja Vu. The bridge with SuA's slow rap and Yoohyeon's adlibs is possibly the most beautiful one they have ever done. About the meaning: According to Dami, BEcause is about love becoming obsession. And also, this is a stand-alone story. They go back to their horror roots, which I really enjoy. One commenter noted that if you look at "BE" as a written Chinese character "悲“, that would mean "sadness". So the song title would mean "The Cause of Sadness". And that would make the lyric "because I like you" to maybe mean "the cause of sadness is I like you". That commenter is Jad Hamizan and he deserves all the credit for noticing that. The video picks up on that. JiU seems to be the puppet master here (or her doppelganger!). She is the one trapping the other members and turning them into puppets, but Gahyeon tries to escape (as you can see by her throwing off the cage right in the beginning). It seems JiU catches her again though, "because she likes her". And I didn't even include the references to the movie "Us" yet, there is so much going on. The lyrics are even creepier. SuA sings: "Your expression is blue, blue. Your face is like ocean view.", hinting at strangulation due to the one being obsessed taking things way, way too far. Dreamcatcher are clearly not afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, and they do it masterfully here - again. For me, this is more than just pop, it is art.

I'm personally taking it as Be! Cause I love you...it's so much more motivating than sadness.

Actually the legs being pulled under the curtain are belongs to another member of Dreamcatcher girl group, Handong XD There were 2 staffs dragging her arms while Handong was sitting straight up with her legs stretched out that straight (I wonder won't it hurts while gliding on the floor huh?)
