Jobs can happen morning. I remember towards the end of my junior year in college, I had to work nine hour shifts over the weekdays in fast food. 6 am-3 pm shifts. Opening was a pain in the ass as you had to do the whole setup in under an hour when it was just you and some other coworker alone.
My mother says that outright to all of my siblings teachers who pressure them into volunteering. Both folks work 12+ hours per shifts and even had to send me, the older sibling, into parent teacher meetings when they couldn’t come. My mother always says “ the only way I’m willing to come to these during my busy schedule is if it is in any attendance guidelines or if I’m able to shell out money for a private school education”. I get that educators want parents more involved in kids education and I respect that, but don’t go making parents feel like crap when they can’t volunteer or donate money at all. Hardly any parent can survive on a single income these days.
@@bookwormidaho321 tbvh I am quite surprised this is even a thing in America, knowing my mother she would've said "it's your job, not mine. you get payed for it and have 4 months of vacation" and left.
@@sara1coco so very true. So the teachers THINK the parents have no life besides taking care of kids? Also I've been to a school where the school makes the parents compete against each other of who's the best parent... Like the f%*k. I'm the oldest as well, so I would constantly have to go and talk to the teachers and staff about my younger siblings.
The best part about this is probably that if the dad had been in charge of the play and the mom had been hosting basketball you know they would've done well.
@Erasing The Future We never ate them (I'm not Chinese), but when I was young, I took one to school and pulled on the tendons to make the claw open and close. Freaked out the girls!
And Janet yee had three horses, graduated in Harvard to become an assistant DA, and ultimately...she died in a plane crash.....BUT WHEN SHE DIED, SHE WAS FLYING FIRST CLASS 👏LIKE A BOSS👏
No they don’t. I don’t think it happens anywhere in America, just in some small parts. The schools just put out the options and if you don’t want to participate you don’t have to.
Kylie Burg How could you possibly say no where in America did. My grade school did. My family were the only Asians in a white suburb and much like the show my parents hated participating.
the first scene represents an annoying yet sadly realistic case. there are schools who are like that, do they know what the words "volunteer" and "donate" means?
I don’t think it was their intent when the show originally started but the mom definitely took over as the main attraction of the show hahaha she’s hilarious. I bet they started writing her in way more than she originally was supposed to be
