I live near brackish area in borneo. When i was a kid, i always caught snakehead, gourami and Anabas testudineus. I kept gourami in my tank and always remind me of my childhood.
Love the curious Bettas. They can see themselves in the camera lens reflections. I know the similar male Betta Splendens will attack their own image in a mirror. I once demonstrated this when I took mine into school in a jam jar
Do u see a type of fish hanging around the surface of water? It's elongated with pipe like mouth. I took a photo of it 10years ago and my cousin told me Balingan, sarawak has them.
ughh..i love freshwater fish and to think they exist up in the jungle of higher altitude is fascinating. anyway, do they originated from the ocean and find their way up the stream then continue to evolve for thousands of years 🤔
That species usually seen in the aquarium actually wasnt a local one .people were irresponsesible dumping it into our ecosystems when they no longer interested to it and it can does harm other species for its nature of being.
